Options
=======

Options are stored in WoT.ini. Options are loaded when the executable is run and any
changes to the .ini file during game play will not effect anything until the executable
is reloaded. Later on I intend to make options editable from within the game and changes
will be seen immediately. The available options are outlined below:

auto_open_doors - 0 means that doors will not automatically open when you walk into them
                - 1 means that doors will automatically open when you walk into them
                  without any prompting
                - 2 means that doors will automatically open when you walk into them but
                  you will be prompted
adom_style_inventory - 0 for FALSE, 1 for TRUE
                     - Enables ADOM-style inventory. ie. the inventory will be grouped
                       in categories
auto_pickup - 0 for FALSE, 1 for TRUE
            - You will be automatically prompted whether you want to pick up an item when
              you cross the square containing it
inventory_font_size - 0 for small
		    - 1 for medium
		    - 2 for large
change_resolution - 0 for FALSE, 1 for TRUE
		  - changes the screen resolution to 800x600 for the time of the

You can also change the intro, death and victory screens through WoT.ini. Just put the
file name (and full path unless the file is in the same directory as the executable) in
double quotation marks next to the appropriate caption. Supported file formats are:
.bmp, .jpg, .ico, .gif and .wmf (although there may be more).

Again: the executable has to be reloaded for any changes in WoT.ini to take effect.

Known issues in this build:
==========================

-Creatures do not say different things after you attack them.
-Shop keeper's assistant freezes in the middle of his path if you save and load while
he's
 in the middle of the good-fetching demo.

Available features that you might miss:
======================================

-A demo of how shops will work - just walk into the square opposite to the shopkeeper
 (building between the sheriff's headquaters and temple).
-Slamming doors on monsters hurts them.
-Talking to the Guard Captain several times gives different messages.
-Attacking the Grand Mage has dire consequences.
-Attacking the strange fisherman (fishing on the lake) makes him flee.
-Dungeon levels are persistant.

Bug reporting and suggestion guidelines:
=======================================

Bug reports and suggestions can be sent to woodsoftorbin@on.to if for some strange
reason that doesn't work, email me at kostatus001@ihug.co.nz. Before posting any bug
reports, always check the "known issues in this build" section of this file (above)
to see if I already know of the problem. If you find a bug which is not on that list,
then please send me a description of it - outlining what happens, when it happens (eg.
after eating a greater demon corpse, after killing a spider, after walking into a wall).
And if the bug crashes the game or it's a bug with a message box or any other window of
the game, also report your operating system and processor speed. DO NOT INCLUDE
ATTACHED FILES IN ANY FORM UNLESS YOU RECIEVE MY PERMISSION TO DO SO FIRST!!! No
screenshots, no binary game files, no anything which is not text in the body of the
message! Anyone who sends me attachments will be blocked!

Suggestions are always welcome - unless they are offensive in any way or use vulgar
language, in which case they will be ignored, deleted and the sender may be blocked.
Also, make sure that they are real suggestions or opinions backed up by facts. For
example: "WoT sux" is BAD, but "WoT lacks advanced features and unique identity, so I
didn't like it" is GOOD.

Thanks to:
=========

Dwarfose: for creating the intro/death and victory screens, a lot of in-game images,
  some testing early on, valuable advice and writing the story for the game (which is
  not yet included in this distribution).
Canto and Atholas: for some testing and valuable advice.
David E. Gravis: for letting me use (often modified versions) of his graphics tiles,
  which will feature more prominantly in future versions.

*"Free" used here means "no cost", I don't want anything to do with the free software
movement.
