Profile

I am an Electrical Electronics Engineer with a Telecommunication bias. For the past five (5) years I have developed competencies in Telecommunications, Computer Repairs and Maintenance. Within this period, I have also acquired experience in Fire and Safety Management, enforcing work orders in accordance with laid down safety guidelines, First Aid administration, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Fire prevention, emergency planning, fire extinguishing and incident reporting. My ability to learn quickly and excellent inter-personal skills ensures I am able to adapt and excel in new environments.

 2014 till Date:   Field Maintenance Engineer, Ericsson Nigeria Limited (MTN Project).

1. Site inspection both preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance in the MTN sites.
2. Troubleshooting and Alarm Resolution.
3. E1 traffic routing configuration and IP configuration of both LAN and WAN.
4. Troubleshooting and Alarm clearing in the site like Clock source unavailable  in IP sites, missing E1, IMA alarm, abnormal temperature sensor in the RSU,  VSWR, Board communication link interrupted in BPK,UBPG,FCE,RSU,RET Etc.
5. Maintenance of Ericsson Tellabs DXX (8630), 7100, 8100 and 8600, Traffic Node 2P 6P and 20P, ZTE BTS etc.

Use of OTDR to detect distance of failure along a fiber route like Agilent E6000 and Corning OTDR. Use of optical power meter and light source like Acterna to check losses along a fiber optic transmission link. Clear fault alarms on Tellabs 6370 DWDM MSTP, 6350 and 6345 switch node MSSP.High attenuation compensation and power alignment on a 6370 DWDM, replacement of faulty OFA, OSC, CCMC, PSF cards etc, clear critical and major alarms on any DWDM equipment and Multiplexers/Demultiplexers. Ensure that all fiber routes are free from high attenuation/Strong reflection along my axis. Fiber-optic Splicing/termination using Fujikura fusion splicer and good Cable management.
