Broken Wings

You gave me strength in all I do

you lifted me up, you allowed me to

soar like a raven in the summer sky

you gave me wings of love to fly

When love was a question, you were my first answer

when my heart was blackened like a cancer

you were there through the worst

you were my blessing when I was cursed

You've been a shoulder to cry on through all these years

you've seen me though my hopes and tears

When nobody was there to feel my pain

you were right by my side fighting again

When I thought that all hope was lost

you stood by me, whatever the cost

And now you need me by your side

to dry all the tears you've cried

Where am I when you need me the most?

I am nowhere to be found, just like a ghost

Let me be your angel, let me fly with you

so I can be there when you need me too

I hope for the best as time goes by

But my broken wings just cannot fly
