Band Venue Date Support Comments
Bush Kentish Town Forum 7th/Feb/97 Souls My first ever gig!! Very memorable, but not that intense!!
Foo Fighters London Astoria 29th/May/97 Redd Kross Cool gig, Pat Smear was still in the band. Nearly passed out but not that intense.
KoRn Brixton Academy 3rd/June/97 Pitchshifter, Limp Bizkit Excellent gig.Avoided the mosh but still went nuts.Brought Limp Bizkits album VERY soon after this gig!!Limp running across the stage naked has to be the highlight!!
silverchair Brixton Academy 2nd/July/97 ???? Feeder A dissapointing gig. Feeder were cool but i just couldn't get into silverchair's set, still good to see them!!
Bush Brixton Academy 23rd/Oct/97 3 Colours Red Support SUCKED.A really good set from Bush went MENTAL, a good night!
Radish Highbury Garage 30th/Oct/97 ????, Addict Shite support.TINY venue made this gig EXCELLENT, met new friends and had an excellent time.
Foo Fighters Brixton Academy 23rd/Nov/97 Vebena Idlewild KICK ASS GIG! MUCH better than the Astoria gig, loads more atmosphere and Dave and Taylors duet on drums was amazing.
Coal Chamber London Astoria 15th/Dec/97 Human Waste Project, Clawfinger Spent the whole support chatting in the bar!A really cool gig but we got trapped in the shittest spot in the venue so that spoiled it.
Deftones London Astoria 20th/Jan/98 Idlewild, THERAPY? Therapy? were a suprise replacement for Dust Junky's....the whole place went MAD.Deftones were excellent and i got to touch Chino!! EXCELLENT!
Deftones London Astoria 6th/March/98 Will Haven AMAZING GIG! First of my Birthday gigs. Will Haven were the better of the two bands but Deftones still blew me away.
Deftones London Astoria 7th/March/98 Will Haven Gig before my birthday.Went Ape shit to both bands, came out bleeding.....it ruled!
Soulfly London Astoria 19th/May/98 Cold, Limp Bizkit I love all three bands on the bill. Missed some of Colds set but they were still brilliant. Limp were the best, doing all their best, House Of Pain's JUMP AROUND!! (MY SONG!!) and the intro to Blind (stopping after Fred screamed ARE YOU READY!!?? FUCKING BAD!!). Soulfly tore the roof off and Fred and Benji came on to do duets.... THE BEST GIG EVER!! And i met the guys at a signing before the gig!
Cyrpess Hill London Astoria 11th/Sep/98 ?????? The support were crap whoever the hell they were, but we had a little mosh when they played aload of RATM songs over the PA while we waited for CH to play.
Then they come on stage....WOW. I really wasn't sure what the gig would be like seeing as i had never been to this sort of gig and even though i had heard quite a bit of their stuff by now, i wasn't an expert but FUCK! It was an AMAZING gig. The "mosh" was wicked because it wasn't intense so we had more energy, needless to say we went OFF. Shit, this gig was too good to describe! Definitly up there with the best!!
Placebo Brixton Academy 24th/Oct/98 ?????, Ultrasound Unfortunatly for me i only had a upstairs ticket for this one so i was EXTREMLY ffrustrated sitting down...first support were dull but Ultrasound were VERY popular with the crowd, i definitly thought they were the better support and held my interest. Not really my thing but good live.
Placebo......what can i say??? AMAZING....brilliant brilliant set, full of energy and personality. Loved getting communication from them!!! The new stuff was really good to hear live but somehow couldn't stand up to the likes off "Nancy Boy" and "Bruise Pristine".
The whole gig was being recorded for their live video so the stage/lighting etc was way over the top but cool!! They also filmed us lining up outside (soaked and freezing) and i think i got on a couple of times so who knows?? i could be a star!!
Cypress Hill Brixton Academy 12th Dec 1998 ????? Support where metal and got booed off the stage....although they didn't deserve it!! It was a good gig, right at the front!! I can't really remember how i felt cause i found out about Lynn dying when i got home so it seemed rather irrelevant.....sorry!
Manic Street Preachers Wembley Arena 15th Dec 1998 Catatonia oh my god......this was THE best gig of my life bar NONE!!! My first time seeing the manics and it was excellent....Mototwn Junk Motorcycle Emptiness and You Love Us were easily the highlights.....no actually that was Nicky abandoning his bass and SKIPPING!!! Loved every second but was spoiled by the fact i was stuck in a seat!!! AHHHHHHH I can't describe it! way too brilliant!!!!
System Of A Down London Astoria 19th May 1999 X-Static, Spineshank Amazing....brilliant....superb...totally converted fan now!! My first gig of 99 what a way to start!!...Mich' got her lip kicked in but hey...thats all part of the fun?!??!...poor kid!..
Soulfly Kentish Town Forum 22nd May 1999 ???????, Kill 2 This Brilliant as per usual....nearly lost it when i realised Benji was there (why is this man so amazing?!?!?)and they had some fucking 15 yr old kid doing freds part on bleed...WHAT?!?! But the highlight had to be Mickey from Snot on guitar....AMAZING to see him, just wish it could have been with Snot!...ah well...he was brilliant...
