| On August 7th around 6:30 pm, i was sitting on the couch watching Medical Detectives on TLC when all of a suddden my water broke! I was already 1 1/2 weeks over due and was going to be induced in a few days. We went to the hospital and after a few hours i wasn't progressing. i couldn't even feel any contractions. They put me on pitocin and then the contractions hurt ALOT! i was only at 4cm when i convinced then to give me my epidural. by the time the doctor got the epidural in i started to fel the need to push. they checked me and i had already gotten to 8cm. a few contractions later i was pushing him out and the doctors and nurses had to run around because they were not even ready. about 5 pushes and he was out!
