Puck is a special rat for more than one reason. He is a standard agouti hooded male nearing the 1 1/2 year old mark. He got his name after one of my close friends. Dustin Newlin is my friends "real" name, but all his friends, and most of the people who know him call him Puck. Puck was purcahsed along with his brother Jay who was named after my bf at the time and who is like a brother to the human Puck (confused yet? LOL). So Jay and Puck seemed to be fitting names for the brother rats! Unfortunatly, Jay passed on (read more on our farewell page). After Jay's passing, Puck became depressed. If you put your hand in his cage, he would try to bite. He had never acted this way before. We knew it was because of the loss of his brother, and thought a new cagemate was needed, but we were afraid he would tourment any rats that were put with him. Finally after months of trying to "cool him down" we decided to put him and Nikademus together...and to our amasement, Nik pushed him over acouple times, quickly proved he would be dominate in the cage, the they were best buds! We concider Puck special because we were able to get him over his anger. He is back to his old self now, sweet and playful as ever!
