This past summer I attended the Early College Program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I took Figure painting for two college credits. The most amazing thing about chicago was the atmosphere I was immersed in. I can easily say that this was the most amazing experience I have had in my life so far. Here I was surrounded by people who loved art as much as I did, who understood where I was coming from, and who were all around just awesome. I loved it there, I loved the city, the shopping, the amazing gallery at the Institute, my classmates, my friends. I wish I could go back but I know it will never be the same, so the most I can do is keep the memories fresh and hope that college will be somewhere near as cool as this past summer was.
