September 11, 2001 was a day of tragedy. An event, that emotionally reached the millions of people around the world. Immense sadness was seen as they watched the World Trade Center twin towers and a section of the Pentagon hit with hijacked American jets. Four jets crashed on this day, and many loved ones were lost with an aftermath of chaos and confusion. The Nation of the Home and the Brave was in utter shock as thousands of people lost their lives due to a terrorist attack against the United States.
It is a day of rememberance, a day that Americans shall never forget. The tears, the pain and the reality of the loss shall never be forgotten. We will always be grateful for the helpful volunteers as they risked their lives, people who donated blood, opened their homes up for the injured, gave medical attention, and to those who lit candles in honor of those who died.
People around the World have been affected by this sorrow filled day. Several countries were shocked and are supporting the War against terrorism. Millions, upon millions of people have their eyes glued to television sets, their ears listening attentively to broadcasters on the radio, newspapers are rapidly bought from news stands, all looking for current updates on the War that is being fought in Afghanistan.
There has never been a time in my life that I have ever felt such a need to be patriotic and to support my nation fully, all the while being PROUD of both! I have found a new part of myself after this tragedy, even though, it has effected me severely and I wish I could hug everyone who lost a loved one that day, I can still Stand upand say I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN! I have never actually known what it was like to be so proud of my country and I know that the President is doing the absolute correct thing to do in this matter.
This day, for many, was a wake up call. Most of us thought things such as,"It would never happen to us", or, "We live in a safe country where terrorism is not a problem",all the while reading about it or watching about other countries that were attacked by terrorists. This time it happened to US, and the War we are in, is frightening, but we as Americans, furthermore as a Nation need it. Without it, WE would live in fear and so will our future generations. Fear is what will keep us down and I know that I support and am in utmost value the freedom that I and my family have. War will assure that we will ALWAYS have that same freedom!
This page is a tribute to all the Lost loved ones in New York' World Trade Center towers, loved ones lost in the Pentagon, and the loved ones lost in the Plane that crashed in Pennsylvania. God Bless your family and watch over you through this very difficult time.
