Band Biographies
I was trying to figure out the best way to organize this whole biography thing and I eventually decided to make a brief band bio and then split it up and have the three boys write their own page about themselves. So here it is, the bands bio - from the start:
Last Regret is the current band in a long lineup of past ones. From Stress Management to Commited to the present day, the band has come along way in the past four or five years. The legacy starts at the exact moment
Osirus became known as Stress Management - the addition of Derek Shail to the lineup. We start it all out with Derek Shail and Sean Mackenzie. After the recording of an album under Shocknova Records and Matty Ryans permanent departure to Timmins, we are left with a band hiatus and shattered dreams for one of KL's best punk bands to date. Remaining Stress members would re-unite with Shail on drums, Mackenzie on vocals/lead guitar and Dawson Bayliss back on bass. The addition of Brandyn Smith on rhythm guitar can be considered Stress Managements evolution into Commited. Commited played together for a few months (playing only one show with the original lineup) until Dawson would move to North Bay in pursuit of the american dream. Logan Scott took up the spot of bass player in October of 2001 and things began to look bright again. After playing many shows (multiple timmins shows, iroquois falls and KL) tension in the band led to the expulsion of Brandyn Smith. In march of 2002 Last Regret comes together - a three piece band  featuring Sean Mackenzie on guitars/vocals, Derek Shail on drums and Logan Scott on bass. They took the stage for the first time at Jake Naylor/Chad Newton's Lessonfest in King Kirkland on the 18th of May 2002 and it couldn't  have gone better. The evolution has, as it seems, to have reached it's final  product - but things have just begun for Last Regret.....

Logan Scott
Derek Shail
Sean Mackenzie
Born in Calgary, Alberta on April 28th of 1985, Logan has lived in various different towns and cities before his family finally settled down in Kirkland Lake. The summer of 2000 is the time associated with his beginnings in guitar. After about a year of non-stop hard work and dedication he switched from fully established singer and guitar player in easYwaYouT to new recruit bass player for Commited (in place of Dawson Bayliss). Approximately six months of bass playing led to the formation of Last Regret where he re-affirmed his place in the band and proved to the world he could hold his own against the legendary shredding of sean mackenzie.
A small town country boy, born and raised in Kirkland Lake. Sean Mackenzie picked up a guitar at a rather young age (an Ibanez RG to be exact) and a miraculous thing happened... he got good at it... real good. With the help of professional lessons and his own keen musical sense Sean quickly learned to compose music and write lyrics. With further progression in melodic composition and vocal notes he also learned to back those songs with catchy punk rock lyrics. He has since become a songwriting legend in this town who I can compare only to a young Joey Clement. His musical intellect is a creative force to be reckoned with and on a side note I'm damn proud to be playing music alongside him.
Little is known to me about Derek Shail. I'd assume he was born in Kirkland Lake oh so many years ago but I'm not  absolutly sure. He gets his kicks from riding fast engine powered vehicles and by pickin up ladies in the pimp mobile. Derek began professional drumming with the creation of the band Commited (summer of 2001) and has since amazed all he's performed for. Having been in a few bands and having  many shows  under his belt he has proven to be a highly experienced and professional musician and his character is only in the highest respects. The completion to the Last Regret rhythm section and the only one capable of doing so.
