Finding the Amenities of Home in Seoul
Back to Main Page
For those of you who are less-traveled, who are  worried about what you're going to find to eat and drink in Korea, or who just need a daily Starbucks fix - here's our pointers for finding what you "need."  Word of advice - VENTURE OUT of your comfort zone - we did get an occasional "fix" of western food, but the Korean food we were served was awesome, and it would be a shame not to eat at as many good Korean restaurants as you can find, during your stay.
Starbucks: We found three in 6 days.  There is one right in the middle of "Insadong" street (Anguk subway station).  There is one at City Hall subway station (come up out of the City Hall subway stop at exit 7, walk along the street and you'll find it), and there was one at the Hong-Ik University subway station.

KFC: We saw about 3 in Seoul.  The easiest one to find is at the Junggak, or Gwanghwamun subway stations.  There is also a Sbarro's pizza there.

Burger King: There is a Burger King at the Insadong market (Anguk subway station).

McDonald's: they're everywhere.

HONG-IK University subway stop (Line 2) seems to be the place to get the most western-style food in one small area.
