Ares
 My brother Ares is the God of War, and a jerk of a god at that. He enjoys pushing mortals around. Well, mortals other than his favorite warlords and the Amazons. He seems to have something for them. Anyway, when he's not testing Zeus's protection order on Hercules, he can be found starting any and every war Ancient Greece has ever seen. Needless to say, he and Aphrodite don't get along too well.
 Kevin Smith, yet another New Zealander, plays "Ares" and "Bacchus" the god of good times, on Young Hercules, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and Xena: Warrior Princess. When he's not doing godlike things, Kevin enjoys singing lead in his band "The Wide Lapels." Kevin's been acting for a while. When he was in college he suffered a concussion, and his wife signed him up for an audition for a play about Elvis's life, and that started the whole thing. He and his wife have three sons. Kevin is now filming the last eps of H:tLJ and I'm sure more eps of XWP.
After finishing his role as Ares on Young Hercules, Hercules: the Legendary Journeys, and Xena: Warrior Princess, Kevin went on to film the movie Channelling Baby and starred in the TV show Lawless. He also completed the comedy film Jubilee, directed by "Old(er) Iolaus" Michael Hurst.
..NEW!..Kevin's newest project, according to IMDB.com, is called Dead Evidence. It's apparently a cop-and-killer kind of thrill movie. Appearing alongside Kevin is "Kora," none other than Angela Dotchin. |
