| About Me For more than 25 years I have been serving God and others by providing administrative leadership in and for a variety of nonprofit organizations including two urban ministries, a private college, a church, and a youth treatment organization. My wife Debbie and I have lived and worked within an urban context and been involved with organizations committed to racial and ethnic diversity as well as social and economic justice for all people. Except for two years in Denver--managing a group home and attending seminary--after graduating from college, I have lived my entire life in the Grand Rapids metropolitan area of Michigan. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Religous Education from Kuyper College (formerly RBC) and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. My graduate studies included completing coursework at Denver Seminary, Calvin Theological Seminary, and Aquinas College. My faith in Jesus Christ is central to my identity as a beloved child of God, and grateful servant to others on His behalf.
