Type 9A Cargo Shuttlecraft are larger than regular shuttlecraft. Built for hauling various items back and forth on interplanetary tasks, they hold three people comfortably. Seats can be added to fill in the cargo holds and enable them to carry passengers.
Normally, a Galaxy-class vessel would be equipped with 10 Type 9A Cargo Shuttles. In light of the mission into the Gamma Quadrant, 5 of these shuttles have been replaced with Danube class Runabouts instead.
