, ))Before she was even old enought go to public school, Jania's uncle and his family were sucked through a wormhole and lost forever. Jania doesn't remember this because she was so young.
Jania made it throught public school as Diana's sister. Diana left a legacy and Jania had to work so she wouldn't be associated with it. When she graduated, it was expected of her to apply to Starfleet Academy and her parents made her, even though she didn't want to at the time.
While in high school, Jania dated a young man by the name of Ramone Pescadeiro. They were very much in love. He was accepted to Starfleet and they lost contact. Jania was heart broken and renewed her interest in applying to the Academy to try and follow him.
Shortly after her sister went in, her brother, Jase, married a young officer at a local Starfleet Outpost. The family hadn't wanted them to marry and neither had hers, but they married anyway. The two families fought and the members of each family fought with each other. Jania kept to herself and, when Diana came home after graduation, Jania looked to her for help. Diana isolated herself from everyone while she was home and left for the USS Elizabethtown. Jania was crushed by everything that happened and was glad to leave when Starfleet Academy notified her of her acceptance.
She went to the Academy, not sure what she wanted to do. It was expected for her to follow in her sister's footsteps and specialize in Engineering, but she didn't. Instead, Jania found a liking for Science. She graduated with degrees in the following:
On the USS Yokohama, Jania found her element. She enjoyed her work and flourished in the busy environment of a Science and Exploration Vessel. She worked hard and a successful experiment involving the effects on static nebulas on warp drive systems earned her a promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade. Proud of her promotion, Jania set herself a standard and worked to achieve it everyday.
Shortly before her promotion, Jania learned that her brother, Jase had been assimilated by the Borg. The family took a turn for the better after the experience and knitted tighter than ever before. Jania and Diana became the closest. They are still in contact today.
A year of hard work earned her a spot in the Science department of Station Beta 2. Station Beta 2 was in desperate need of Science officers after a deadly explosion involving a new prototype shuttle called the Scythe. No one knew that the explosion had been staged.
When she arrived, the station was in a battle being supported by the USS Galaxy. The station and the ship were contacted by an unknown probe and were sent back in time to when the universe was a void. Jania was thrilled to witness the 'Big Bang', but upset that her stars were not outside her window whenever she looked. Just before Beta 2 and the Galaxy could be destroyed by the 'Big Bang', the unknown probe sent them back to where in time they belonged.
Also when she arrived, she found Ramone. Jania had not been expecting him to be there. They were immediately in love again and were soon engaged. Ramone presented her with a Betazoid Blue Rose pendant, the Blue Rose being a symbol of undying love.
The Station had to fight off a new race called the Kwen'tapa Dobi, the People who Eat the Dawn. Jania was attacked by one of the creatures, but she recovered.
Ramone disappeared once again. Jania never did find out where he went, but she finally asserted herself and decided not to go find him. Beta 2 had become her home. She still wore the pendant in a subconscious hope for his return.
Shortly afterwards, Jania, along with several others, was sucked through a portal into a hellish landscape where a large demonic creature was intent on making her his bride. She was rescued and the groups made it out of the other dimension to safety. The portal was then destroyed.
Jania befriended a civilian on the station named Darien Swordsong. He was one of the ones in the hellish dimension with her and they looked to each other for support. During this small quiet spell for the station, Jania was promoted to Lieutenant.
The Oracle, the Yridian AI system on the station, soon wanted the station for itself. It created small lizard-like creatures to attack and either transform the entire crew into the Oracle's Children, as they became known, or kill them. It was during this time that Jania was given the position of Chief Science Officer. The other Chief had been killed by several of these creatures.
Once the threat of the Oracle's Children passed, a new one took it's place. Interdimensional beings with crowns that controlled the mind, came into this universe to battle. One battle became the ultimate battle between good and evil. A neutral crown appeared and seperated the beings, forcing them to see the benefits of a balance.
Soon, Beta 2 was shifted to the Gamma Quadrant. The Oracle was forced to open a passageway to the distant planet of Parapet. The Petions were an avian race and a First Contact situation ensued. The Counselor, a Bajoran with a new Prophet given telepathy, surprised even the Betazoid Jania with her new abilities. Neuroinhibitors were developed for the Counselor and then developed for the rest of the crew for their away mission into the telepathic avians land. Before the mission could be completed, a comet came crashing towards the planet, threatening Beta 2 and Parapet. The Petions refused to work with the people of Beta 2 and the vulnerable station was left to fend for itself. They managed to rotated the station about the planet to a more sheltered position.
During this mission, Jania had begun working closer to the Station's CMO, a joined Trill named Verin Salvine. Verin was who was getting over the loss of the recent station commander, whom he had been in love with. The two became close and, putting some articles of their loved ones (the Sh'arien sword from Salvine's lover and the pendant from Ramone) into storage started them on the way to recovery. They soon found they had feelings for one another as well.
The Oracle tried once again to take over the Station. Several crew members were assimilated by the Oracle and turned into viscious creatures to retake the station for the AI System. Jania was semi-entranced by the Oracle system, but because of her Betazoid heritage, she was not completely effected. A crew member then programmed a virus into the Oracle, causing the Oracle to reopen the passageway and send the station back to the Beta Quadrant. At the same time, the virus destroyed the AI system and all the crew members under it's control disappeared. Jania, however, was saved.
In the meantime, the Counselor had contracted the Betazoid's version of multiple personality disorder. Her mind picked up on people's thoughts and personalities and she, in essence, became that person. Once Jania had recovered enough, she and the Counselor worked together to hone the Bajoran's new abilities so she could control them better.
Verin was then given command of Station Beta 2. He revealed to the station senior staff that he was a Section 31 Operative and that Section 31 was siding with the Dominion. They wanted Station Beat 2 to offer any services needed to the Dominion ships. The crew of Beta 2 refused to do so and they began preparations for a Dominion attack. Before the Dominion ships arrived, a double of Verin arrived. The sticky situation, however, resolved itself and Beta 2 made it out of the Dominion attack needing major repair.
Starfleet came in and revamped the station, reassigning crew, rebuilding the damaged areas in a new design, setting up a shipbuilding facility. Jania is one of the few remaining crew on Beta 2. The station's name was changed from Station Beta 2 to B2 Babylon Shipyards.
