Yukina had been understandably startled, when she's finally noticed the nature of Kurama's discomfiture (*the fit of his uniform's jacket had never been meant to cover a woman's breasts, no matter how small*), but she expertly stifled a giggle and had ushered the other priestess quickly off, promising to keep the Kitsune's secret and dissuade any of the usual visitors from disturbing them, whilst Master Genkia struggled with a cure.
Finally, the old priestess heaved an explosive sigh, and tossed the scrolls she'd been poring over helplessly in the air to flutter noisily about them. Kurama blinked up at the aged papers, watching their descent and sneezing delicately at the dust they shed.
"I'm at a loss, Foxboy," the wizened woman growled. "We have tried every conceivable cure just short of having you walk on your hands down the temple steps singing battle hymns of the 4th Dynasty at the top of your lungs in reverse."
Kurama blinked again, turning his attention back to her.
"Would that work?" He was desperate.
"No. But it'd be an entertaining way for the rest of us to wile away an afternoon. And you'd be none the wiser as to your current state while you're unconscious in the hospital from splitting your skull." Genkai shrugged, and dropped into her chair, regarding Kurama wearily.
Kurama sighed, letting the breath flutter noisily between his lips, as he nervously drummed his fingers on the edge of his stool, between his legs. He still hadn't quite gotten the hang of sitting like a woman.
After a long, fruitless pause, Genkai continued.
"We can simply wait and see, Kurama," she gestured absently, before resting her cheek in the crook of her thumb, again. "It may simply take some time. The 18th cure should have worked. It still may. Its purpose was to render Yuushita's curse temporary. But there are no guarantees -- without her incantations and prayers -- as to just how long that reversal process might be."
Kurama frowned, pursing his perfect lips, but nodded.
"Until then, Kitsune? Enjoy this form," she continued again. Then added, upon seeing Kurama's soft blush. "And stay out of trouble..."
