"Oh yes it's Ladies' Night and the feeling's right".
It certainly is with this brilliant LP - their thirteenth but it certainly wasn't unlucky for them (although a large number of their previous fans deserted them a greater number of new ones appeared and the title track catapulted to the R&B top ten - number one in fact - and became their first top ten since '76 and their first number one since '75).
The album its self was released (according to the official "Kool & The Gang" site) in September '79 and charted #1 R&B/13 Pop.
Thanks to "JudgeFunky" I have now the information on the original LP and can print it without worring about Rebounds alterations too much.
You can see the single information on the "Singlography" page from now on.
By now "Kool & The Gang" had stopped putting themes to their albums. Instead there is now - if you have enough imagination to see it - a romantic narrative story that runs through all the albums on which "J.T." was a part (although I do not yet know if this was deliberate the reissue liner notes to "Something Special" are suggestive).
