Saucy Raspberry Pears

¼ cup sugar

1 cup water

2 tbsps. lemon juice

6 fresh pears, peeled and cored

1 15-oz. package frozen raspberries

dark chocolate, optional

Combine usgar, water and lemon juice. Stir to dissolve sugar. Set aside.

Place pears in an ungreased, 2 quart casserole dish. Pour sugar syrup over pears.

Cover with frizen raspberries.

Bake covered at 350*F until tender, about 45 mins.

If desired, serve garnished with grated chocolate curls.
