Pear and Cheddar Muffins

2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2/3 cup melted butter
1/3 tsp. ground cloves
� tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
� cup cheddar cheese, grated
Small pinch salt
1� cups wheat bran
1 Bosc pear, diced

Preheat oven to 350*F. In a stainless steel bowl, whisk eggs, buttermilk, melted butter, ground cloves and cinnamon.
In another bowl, sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the bran and cheese to the flour mixture and incorporate well. Add the liquids to the flour mix with a fork. Add the pear and combine well.
Scoop with an ice cream scoop into paper muffin cups or buttered muffin tins and bake for 17 mins.
