Fantastic Veal

10 tbsps butter, divided
2 cups chopped onions
3 pounds veal, julienne
� cup all-purpose flour
2 tsps salt
2 garlic cloves, crushed, or
1 tsp garlic powder
3 cups julienne cooked ham
1lb mushrooms, sliced
1 cup milk or half and half cream
1 tbsp vinegar

In a large frying pan, saute onions in 6 tbsps butter until browned.� Remove onions and set aside.
Lightly dredge veal in flour and saute in same pan.� Additional butter may be added if needed.� Add salt and garlic.� When veal is almost cooked, stir in ham and onions.
Meanwhile, saute mushrooms in 4 tbsps butter.� Add to veal, scraping pan to loosen browned bits of mushroom.� Blend in milk or cream and vinegar, heating thoroughly.� Serve over rice.
Note: Chicken may be substituted for veal.
