4 cups all-purpose flour

1 Tsp. baking soda

� Tsp. salt

� cups butter, at room temperature

2 cups dark brown sugar

3 large eggs

1 Tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350*. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.

Combine the flour, baking soda, & salt.

In a large bowl, cream the butter & brown sugar. Beat in the eggs 1 at a time. Beat in the vanilla extract. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.

On a floured surface, roll out on the dough to a thickness of �-inch. Using cookie cutters, cut into shapes & place 1�-inch apart on the prepared baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12mins, until lightly colored. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
