Chocolate Fondue

8 oz. chopped good quality dark semi-sweet chocolate
� cup whipping cream

Melt chocolate in a double boiler, then stir in cream until smooth and warmed through. If desired, add a dash of brandy or rum and stir; transfer mixture to a fondue pot and serve an assortment of cubed pound cake, lady fingers, shelled nuts, dried fruits like apricots and apples, and fresh fruit like pineapples and bananas alongside.
Of course you can do the same with white chocolate and Grand Marnier as well. And if you like, you an make the fondue in your microwave by combing the chocolate and cream and heating for 2 to 3 mins at medium power, whisking to make sure it's well combined.
