BROWNIES II

1/2 cup all-purpose flour.

1/2 Tsp. Salt

1/4 cup vegetable shortning

2 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped

1 cupgranulated sugar

1 Tsp. Vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1 cup minurature marshmallows

Preheat the oven to 350*. Lightly grease an 8-inch square baking pan. Combine the flour, & salt. In a double boiler, melt the vegetable shortening & chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat & beat in the sugar & vanilla extract. Beat in the eggs. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Fold in marshmallows. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20-25 min, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cut into large or small squares while still warm and cool in the pan on a wire rack.
