Apple Crisp

5-6 cups cored, peeled and sliced apples

Zest from ¨ö a lemon

¨ö cup rolled oats

¨ö cup dark brown sugar

¨ö cup all-purpose flour

¨ö tsp. cinnamon

¨ö tsp. nutmeg

¨ö tsp. ground ginger

¨ö cup chopped walnuts

¨÷ cup butter

Toss apple slices with lemon and arrange in 8-cup baking dish that has been sprayed with Pam. In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, sugar, flour, spices and walnuts. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over apples. Bake at 350¡ÆF until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned, abotu 35 mins. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
