Our Close encounter with a GRIZZLY BEAR!!!!

These pictures were taken October 7, 2003 at our home in Montana.We are lucky enough to live in the "Last best Place On Earth".Montana is beautiful, rugged, and home to Grizzly Bears.Although no one had ever seen one in our area, we always knew it COULD happen.We were lucky enough to be able to have a close encounter with one of these incredible animals in our own backyard.It was an experience most people will never get the opportunity to have.I will never forget that day, and cant explain the thrill, and excitement of getting up close and personal with the largest predator in the lower 48 states.This Griz is now safe and residing up near the continental divide near Glacier National Park.

This is a picture of Taylor with the bear trap.She has her nose plugged, because there is a dead deer in the trap used for bait.

Close up of Griz.He is about 2 years old.He had never been handled ( caught) before.Now he is collared and microchipped.
