HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!!!
God spoke through many prophets; such as Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah,
Micah, Zecharia, and others who foretold the coming of a Messiah. In order for Jesus Christ to be Gods
Messiah, he had to fulfill every prophecy that was spoken
and He did! Below are just a few prophecies that Christ fulfilled:
1)
He
would be born of a virgin (Isa. 7:14)
and He was (Mt. 1:23; Lk. 1:26-35).
2)
He would be of Davidic descent (Jer. 23:5)
and He was (Rom. 1:3; Mt. 1:6; Jn. 7:42).
3)
There would be a massacre of infants at His
birth (Jer. 31:15)
and their was (Mt. 2:16-18).
4)
His ministry would begin in Galilee (Isa.
9:1-2)
and it did (Mt. 4:13-16).
5)
He would make a triumphal entry into
Jerusalem (Zec. 9:9)
and He did (Mk. 11:7-11; Jn. 12:13-14).
6)
He would be betrayed (Ps. 41:9)
and He was
(Jn. 13:18).
7)
He would be forsaken by His disciples (Zec.
13:7)
and He was (Mk. 14:50).
8)
There would be false witnesses at His trial
(Ps. 35:11)
and there was (Mt. 27:28).
9)
He would not open His mouth (Isa. 53:7)
and
He did not (Mt. 27:14).
10)
He
would be crucified (Isa. 53:10)
and He was (Lk. 23:33).

His
hands and feet would be pierced (Zec. 12:10)
and they were (Jn. 19:34).

His
bones would not be broken (Ps. 34:20)
and they were not (Jn. 19:33-36).

He
would be resurrected (Ps. 16:10)
and He was (Acts 2:24).

He
would ascend (Ps. 68:18)
and He did (Lk. 24:50-51).

He
would be Gods son (Isa. 9:6)
and He is (Jn. 3:16).

He
would be Gods servant (Isa. 42:1)
and He is (Mt. 12:18).

He
would be a tender, loving shepherd (Isa. 40:11; Ps. 23:1)
and he is (Jn.
10:11, 2-14).

He
would be identified as Lord (Isa. 41:4)
and He is (Rev. 1:11, 17, 2:8).

He
would be a light to the Gentiles (Isa. 49:6-7)
and He is (Lk. 2:32).
20)
He
would intercede for sinners (Isa. 53:12)
and He does (Lk. 23:34).
21)
He
would sit at the right hand of the Father (Ps. 110:1)
and He does (Mk. 16:19;
rev. 3:21).
22)
He
would bring salvation as the result of His death (Ps. 22:27)
and He does (Lk.
2:10-11; II Cor. 5:15).
23) His suffering would be to
satisfy the justice of God (Isa. 53:10)
and it does (Gal. 2:20; I Cor. 15:3;
II Cor. 5:21).
