Where do you go when you're lonely Where do you go when you're blue Where do you go when you're lonely I'll follow you When the stars go blue Laughing with your pretty mouth Laughing with your broken eyes Laughing with your lover's tongue In a lullaby Where do you go when you're lonely Where do you go when you're blue Where do you go when you're lonely I'll follow you When the stars go blue The stars go blue, stars go blue --Ryan Adams ********** You know, if you sit out here for too long, youre bound to freeze. Pacey says as he looks down at me. I like sitting here at the end of the dock. I say as I pat the space next to me, signaling him to sit down. No matter how cold. Come on Potter, you hate the cold. He looks over at me as he slings his arm around my shoulders. Only when I dont have things to think about. I say as I shiver. Whether its from the cold or his touch, Ill never know. What are you thinking about Potter? He sighs. You can tell Dr. Witter. I nudge him as he says that. Nothing. Everything. I shrug as I say this. Whats up Joey? He lets out a breath. I dont know really. I mean, so much has happened this past year. I look up at him. I finally let go of Dawson. I smile as I say this, realizing that Im finally completely moving on. I had two almost relationships and one pretty fun relationship with Charlie- Two almost? He looks at me with disbelief and I smack for good measure. Ha ha Pace. I grin at him, I do have the capability to move beyond our little circle of friends. But werent they the almost, because Charlie was in our little circle of friends in an unwanted way. I thought you got over that thing against Charlie? I did, but it doesnt mean I have to like the guy. You are incorrigible Pacey. I shake my head as I look up towards the sky. But thats why you love me. He squeezes me close as he looks in the direction Im looking. Yeah, but its one of you not so good qualities. I lean against his shoulder and I just breathe. True, but without it, I wouldnt be Pacey. I stare up at him as he rolls his shoulder. Yes, but you can still be Pacey and not harbor any ill will towards Charlie. You really liked that guy didnt you? Like you said once before, I am Josephine Potter, and I only kiss who I think are worth kissing. He looks at me strangely, Or something like that. I smile and he remembers that talk we once had. That you are, and that you do Miss Potter. He smiles that goofy smile he has. I mean, you did kiss me. Thats right, I say after a pause, I did kiss you once upon a time didnt I. Well, actually, I kissed you. He smiles and his eyes lit up at the memory by the roadside. Does really matter, I kissed you back didnt I? Youre right, you did, but it doesnt really matter does it? You brought it up Pace. Oh bite me. Stealing lines Pacey? Oh, I seem to recall- I silence him by placing my finger over his lips. Besides, I already did. I smile as I keep my finger on his lips, signifying him to stay quiet. We just sit there in silence. The wind lightly blowing, making it fairly cold for a summer night in Capeside. Beautiful isnt it? I whisper to him. What? The sky. I point up at no particular spot. See the stars? Ive never seen them so blue before. Maybe youre just not used to the Capeside sky after being in Boston for so long. He looks down towards me. Theyve always been this blue before. Maybe the stars only go blue when youre with me. I stare up into his eyes, seeing all the emotion surface in them. Perhaps Potter, because I only saw red when I was sailing last summer. Or maybe its this dock. I say as I pat the boards. Because when we were out on true love, they were all yellow. Kind of like that song, huh Potter? He smiles down at me. Possibly. I softly smile. Hey Pace? Yeah? Ever wonder why we always end up at this dock? I question him as I look back up at the sky. Because it seems that we always end up back here. Maybe its fate Potter. He says as he too looks back up the sky. I thought you didnt believe in fate Pacey. I look back towards him as he looks at me. Only with you, Potter, do I believe in fate. We both look back up at the sky watching the blue stars. You never see this sky in Boston, or anywhere else for that matter. Its going to be an interesting summer, and Im looking forward to it. |
