Eric Forkosh is a young robotics engineer and inventor. Various robotic projects were built and created by him. Currently he is working on a robot butler. Some inventions made by him include the Magneto-Finger, Magneto-Cups, Home Rover with Camera, and the Make-It-R/c Conversion device.
ROBOT BUTLER
This robot butler has autonomous movement and is capable of maneuvering around a house on its own or with the aid of a user’s voice commands. It is currently being developed and will eventually have a mini-fridge and a robotic arm incorporated into it. The drive system consists of two 6VDC motors and two plastic Power Wheels™ wheels. The microcontroller of the system is a PIC16F627 microcontroller connected to four relays.
The sensor array consists of four infrared proximity detectors. Each sensor is connected to a comparator, which gives out a high output when an object is within 6 inches of the sensor. When an object is farther than 6 inches a low signal is given out.
