

Stephanie Michelle McCann, 23, of Toney Addition, departed this life Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born June 14, 1981, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, she was a precious daughter of Charity Ross of Wayne and Christopher McCann of Massachusetts, and fiancee of Michael Toppings.
Preceding her in death were two daughters, Haily McCann and Makayla Toppings; maternal great-grandparents, Walter and Brookie Aldridge; paternal great-grandparents, Perry and Charity Ramey and Eugene and Nan Adkins, uncle Mark Ramey, and two cousins, Albert Carter and James Aldridge.
Stephanie attended Harts High School.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Katelyn Bender and one son, Hunter Bender, both of Ellamore; her maternal grandparents, Perry and Carol Ramey of Wayne; her paternal grandparents, Frank and Loretta McCann of Lavelette; two sisters, Rebecca Duty and Amanda Ross, both of Wayne; two brothers, Josh Ross of Wayne and Johnny McCann of Georgia, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Freeman Funeral Home in Chapmanville with Minister Tom Vance officiating with Enon Church in charge. Burial will follow in the Community Memorial Gardens at Wayne.
Pallbearers will be Mike McCann, Randy Hornsby, Johnny Williamson, Perry Ramey III, John Price, Ricci Freeman, Michael Toppings and Nathaniel Duty.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Freeman Funeral Home at Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.

Makayla Michelle Toppings, 11 months old, of Toney Addition, Harts, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2005, at her residence.
She was born March 24, 2004 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, the beloved daughter of Michael Toppings and Stephanie McCann, both of Toney.
She was preceded in death by her precious sister, Haily Alyssa McCann; paternal great-grandfathers, Howard Toppings and John Bryant; great-uncle Mark Ramey; two cousins, Greg Williamson and Laura Toppings.
In addition to her parents, Michael and Stephanie, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, Barry Toppings and Sandena "Dinky" Runyon of Ranger and Brenda Tomblin of Hurricane; maternal grandparents, Chris McCann of Massachusetts and Charity Ross of Wayne; paternal great-grandmothers, Virginia Toppings of Harts and Juanita Bryant of Ranger; maternal great-grandparents Jr. and Carol Ramey of Wayne and Frank and Loretta McCann of Lavalette; one sister, Katelyn Marie Bender and one brother, Hunter Allen Bender both of Ellamore. Makayla is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be conducted Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 3 p.m. at Freeman Funeral Home with Minister Ward Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the New Browning Cemetary at Manns Knob.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2005 at the funeral home.
Pallbears will be Ricci Freeman, Casey Toppings, Nathaniel Duty, and Nick Cornish. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Williamson, Adam Runyon, David Toppings and Wayne Williamson.

Haily Alyssa McCann, 3 years old, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2005 at her residence.
She was the beloved daughter of Stephanie McCann of Harts and Jerry Bender of Ellamore.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Stephanie; her precious sister, Makayla and great-uncle Mark Ramey.
She was the precious sister of Katelyn and Hunter Bender, both of Ellamore, and the precious grand-daughter of Charity Ross of Wayne, and Chris McCann of Massachusetts, and Jerry and Becky Bender of Ellamore.
She is survived by her father, Jerry; one sister, Katelyn; one brother, Hunter; maternal grandparents Charity Ross and Christopher McCann; maternal great-grandparents Perry and Carol Ramey and Frank and Loretta McCann; aunts and uncles: Rebecca, Amanda, Joshua, Johnny, Karen, Dawn, Debbie, Perry; as well as several cousins and relatives that miss her terribly.
Friends may call the F.E. Runner Funeral Home on Saturday after 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Leonard Cash of the Georgetown Community Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Talbott Cemetery in Barbour County.
