Merian spun around, her fighting instincts kicking in. "Oh Brave Nataku." She said, her black hair falling in her face. "Who are you?" Merian asked. "Justice must be served. They need your help." She said. "Who are you?" Merian repeated. "You must help them." "I�m losing my patience. Who are you?" Merian repeated once again. "I need you. They need you. He needs you." This lead Merian to ask a different question. "Who needs me?" She asked. "The Dragon is not strong enough. And the Guardians are not powerful enough to protect him or his friends. Please you must help. " Dragon, dragon, dragon......... Dragon! "Do you mean Wufei?" She asked, coming to the conclusion. "Please you must help them." This was just great. Her husband was probably in the most danger in his life and she was stuck with a woman pleading like she was some damsel in distress. Great. "Wufei needs you Merian. I could not help him but you might could." This brought Merian out of her thoughts. The voice was different, coming from behind her. She turned to the voice. "Who are you?" Merian asked. "My name is Caitlin," she said, her brownish hair falling into her face. "and I knew Wufei in my second mortal life and will choose to know him in my third. But that is beside the point...." She stated. Merian pointed to the black haired girl. "Who is she?" She asked. "She is me just as I am her. She is my shadow as I hers. We are one and the same, but two opposites at that. Two sides to the same mirror." The black haired girl stated. Merian just blinked. "She is from my second life as I am from her first. Our real name is Caitlin and, yes, I am the original. When I died I took on another form," Caitlin explained. "My name is Faith." The black girl said. "I was sent to guard your husband from creatures we know as Angel/Demons. But alas, I was destroyed in an attempt to destroy them." Merian blinked again. "But that means you�ve died twice." She said to Caitlin. Caitlin shook her head. "Not exactly. I wasn�t reborn, I was summoned. But it is too much for a mere mortal to understand. So, do not trouble yourself with the details." Merian shook her head. "I don�t understand. You seem to hold yourself high than me. Why?" It happened in an instant. One second Caitlin and Faith were looking at her, the next she was on her back, Faith straddling her. "What the-" Merian started. The next second Caitlin was holding her in the air by her hand. She was too shocked to do anything but stare in awe as Caitlin retrieved her hand, Merian still in the air. Merian tried to choke something out, but it came out as a gag. Caitlin just nodded and Merian was thrown to the ground. Merian sat up as Faith walked over and knelt at Caitlin�s feet, hugging her legs. "I�ve never been so humiliated in all my life. " Merian stated. "Do not trouble yourself with it. You are dealing with powers beyond you control. The power to create life..... and the power to take it. That is why you must go and help them." She said, Faith falling silent at the power of her master. "But I don�t understand. If you are more powerful than me, how am I-" Faith intervened. "No one is more powerful than you, Nataku. You must trust us on this." Caitlin nodded. "I�ll help." Merian said, seeing that Caitlin wasn�t going to take no for an answer. Faith stood up and took her hand. "Then we will go. Do not be shocked if we are too late to save them." She said as they disappeared. Caitlin frowned and sighed. "Good luck and God speed Chang Merian. And know this," She said as a tear ran down her cheek, "I would never and could never take your place in Dragon�s heart. I just hope I will make my way into his heart. And yours." Caitlin turned and disappeared (1) into the oblivion. ******************************************************************************************** Caitlin: Wow, I�m cruel. Just so you know: (1) Caitlin will not return to haunt any of the G-boys and will not intervene in Merian and Wufei�s life and relationship. Just so you know. And Faith will not return ether.
