| ever since the founding of the slave new world, known as the u.s., it has been this nation's objective to spread it's influence and thus establish it's power worldwide. the conflicts discussed on previous pages ('expanding mind', 'state of mind') have proven to be a worthy means of achieving this goal, in lack of a conflict the u.s. attempts to gain a say by exporting their pseudo-culture. the past few decades the 'u.s. way' of life and thought has infected several continents in the core of family life. by setting standards for the cultural, social, political and economical life. for instance take the u.s. motion picture industry: a vast range of non-u.s. directors have been taken in by the u.s. standard 'the more a film costs, the better it is'. luckily for the free western world we can still depend on the critic and free state of mind of a large number of non-u.s. cultural key figures that have safe-guarded their artistic integrity from this invasion. honestly, when was the last time you saw a decent u.s. produced motion picture? this does not entail a complete dismissal of all u.s. culture products, more than a few u.s. painters, authors, directors, ..., made a valid contribution to the world's cultural legacy and had a profound and positive impact on art in general. this positive influx does not however disengage the effect the u.s. pseudo-culture has on the world. the televised-coca cola-dollar bill ethics the u.s. culture stands for only leads to the creation of shallow empty-headed masses that have no will and swallow whatever comes their way. the export of this anti-social and anti-cultural state of mind is closely followed by the export of underlying political and economical ideas. those turned in favour of the u.s. are willing pawns that inavertedly become part of a well-oiled machine that feeds on ignorance (cfr 'mind'), ... |
