Triassic Park
By NWRaptor

"When people hear the words Triassic or Jurassic, they think of gigantic dinosaurs lumbering through the pre-historic forests." intoned Professor Yum from the podium. "I suppose I should also include the recent movie, but we're talking here of actual recorded history, not Hollywood movie magic. The flying reptiles such as Pteranodons and the marine reptiles like Pleisiosaurs are often conveniently but incorrectly referred to as dinosaurs. Ask most people, included most paleontologists, and they will agree that ‘dinosaurs' takes in virtually all giant reptiles of those era. But they're wrong! What people fail to recognize is that other large reptiles existed as well."

Most of his students simply yawned, checked their watches to see how much longer they had to endure this crap, or continued to sleep. Old Doc Yum was renowned for his obsession with obscure and boring paleo-herpetology. "Who gives a shit about a prehistoric garter snake when there are Tyrannosaurs running around?" they said. The only reason students took this class was to avoid the real science classes like chemistry or physics where they might actually have to learn something.

Unperturbed, Dr. Yum continued. "The descendents of the large Triassic snakes are still with us. Granted, they are very few and far between, and even those are but a shadow of their former genetic stock. We know them as the large constrictors; the Anaconda and the Python. Today, any specimen over twenty-five feet is considered a freak of nature. Why? Because man or his pollution has so shortened their life expectancy that they rarely survive long enough to fully mature."

"Are you saying that the big snakes of today are really only babies, Doc?" asked one of the students, a shapely redheaded girl in the 2nd row.

"More like adolescents I would say, Miss Haynes" he replied. There are still occasional reports - admittedly unverified - of unusually large individuals, on the order of forty feet or more. I ask you, is it logical to think that such a rare event would occur when there is a trained team of observers present to properly investigate and document the event? No! There simply aren't enough teams to cover the globe, even if they were looking for them. The result is the virtual dismissal of these reports by the scientific community as hysteria, legend, or intoxication."

"But there's also no fossil evidence for these big snakes either." she remarked. "At least none I've ever heard of. Am I incorrect?"

"Alas, you are correct. But remember, there are several recognized gaps in the fossil records. No one knows for sure what occurred during these periods; only that life continued to evolve. I am absolutely convinced that these giant snakes arose and were suddenly wiped out - note I did not say they went extinct - during one of these gaps. There have been several documented mass extinctions throughout time."

"So, if they weren't extinct, where'd they go?

"Well, I've theorized that at least some - perhaps less than a hundred - of these giants survived whatever cataclysmic event overcame the rest of their kind. These individuals would have ultimately be forced to inter-breed with smaller species in order to continue to survive. This would dilute their gene pool as well as the size of their offspring. Eventually, the last of the purebred giants would die off. The chance of finding any fossilized remains of such a diminutive population is so small as to defy calculation. BUT, the genes survived, passed from generation to generation right down to today.

"Gene theory states that given sufficient time, pure chance alone will re-combine enough of those genes such that they can be expressed as an individual animal. Such occurrences could be the basis for these reported sightings. Naturally, in order to survive long enough to reach their full genetic potential, they would have to hatch in the most remote of locations, far from man and his environmental effects. "

"Let's say for the moment that you're right." she continued. "That says it would not be impossible for one of these genetic throwbacks to be lurking in the hills around campus."

"Extremely unlikely, but yes, it's possible. My research indicates that these large snakes were concentrated in what are today the sub-tropical zones of the world; Africa, South and Central America most likely. That's where we'd expect to find the genes rather than here in the northern hemisphere. And of course, there are millions of humans here too, which argues against their long-term survival."

"So.....if I wanted to test your theory, I'd have to go to one of those places?" she asked. "Could you get more specific than that?"

"Please see me after class, Miss Haynes, and we can discuss it further."

Later that afternoon, Dr. Yum and Miss Amy Haynes sat in his small office looking over old maps. "I have plotted every report for the past three hundred years. By far, the greatest number come from this relatively unexplored area in Brazil. This is the area where I will be searching during my sabbatical leave later this year."

"Could you use an assistant? she asked. "I've always had a fascination about snakes; the bigger the better."

Rather amazed to find a student who seemed really interested in his subject of expertise, Dr. Yum agreed to investigate the possibilities. A few weeks later, he was able to tell her that it had been approved by the research committee, although he suspected that the real reason was that they wanted additional verification of his findings.

So it was that four months later, Dr. Yum, Amy, and their porters found themselves trekking through the remote Brazilian forests, hundreds of miles from civilization. The deeper they went into the forest, the fewer villages they found. At each village, they collected any scrap of information, story, legend, etc. about these big snakes. Virtually all leads went nowhere. Either the people involved were long dead, or age had so befuddled their memories as to make them useless. It was looking like a fool's errand; just a faint odor of their prize, but nothing to see or touch.

As they were about to leave the last village, an old man walked silently up to Dr. Yum. "Go up-river for four days. Go north at the great falls for another day. This will take you to the land of those known to us as the Serpent Worshippers. If they do not kill you on sight, they may be able to guide you to what you seek. My grandmother was one of them, and she often babbled about the great serpents. Most thought he mad, but she told me to seek out her people and give them this, so that her spirit might roam free. I am too old to make the trip, so I will entrust her scarf to you. If you find her people, complete my quest. Hopefully, they will recognize the markings. Either way, her spirit and I will bless you both." Without another word, he turned and shuffled away.

"What have we got to lose?" Amy said.

Five days later, they were camped beside the river, far upstream. As a precaution, Dr. Yum had affixed the old scarf to a frame that was always kept visible during the journey. "You never know who's watching us" he explained. "It may do us no good whatsoever, or it could keep us alive long enough to explain our mission. This is uncharted territory. Even the Brazilian Army won't come up this far."

As he raised his cup, he froze. Standing at the edge of the clearing was a man; naked, holding a long spear. "Amy, come stand beside me and be silent. Bring the scarf with you, but do it slowly. You can bet he's not alone." Trembling slightly, she complied.

The porters were another matter. They jumped to their feet and ran for the boats. A volley of spears reached them before they had gone six feet. More naked men appeared from the forest and dragged the bodies to the river where they were thrown into the water. The piranha would eat well tonight.

Doc and Amy found themselves surrounded by spear points. The man Doc had first seen walked up to them and reached for the scarf. After examining it carefully, he called for another man to approach and handed him the scarf. Their conversation was heated but brief. "Apparently, they recognize it. Now if only we knew what they were going to do." Doc whispered.

Doc and Amy were led through the forest. Several hours later, they reached a huge cliff. "A box canyon" Amy said. "There's no way to climb that steep rock face, even with my mountaineering gear, which I left at home."

The leader took one step towards the rock wall and vanished. "Amazing" said Doc. Hidden behind the large rock was a narrow crevice with a slight path. After winding their way through the very tight spaces, they emerged in a lovely valley. Some distance below them, they could see smoke rising from a large village. Three hours later, they arrived.

Their presence, and especially that of the scarf, was obviously causing quite a stir. Several men and women stood in a circle about it, having a very excited and animated discussion. Suddenly, it got very quiet.

An old man was carried forward on a litter. The scarf was brought to him. He touched it gently, looked at it for a long time, then clutched it to his breast and began to chant mournfully. The other villagers backed away in silence. Then they too joined the chant.

When it was quiet again, the old man motioned for Doc and Amy to approach. No one barred their way. "Where did you get this?" he asked in broken English.

Shaking off their surprise, doc explained both the scarf and the mission that brought them here. The old man listened in silence, and then spoke.

"The man who gave you this was my grandson. His grandmother was my wife many years ago. This was her marriage scarf, given to her by me long ago. When she disappeared, I feared the river had taken her. I grieve for her every day, but now that this cloth has returned to join mine, her spirit is free to wander the forest until I go to join her."

"Because you have ended my search after all these years, I will help you end yours. Two days from here, you will find the great serpents you seek. Here in this valley, they, like us, are truly free. We are their protectors. We will guide you to them."

"What luck" Amy said. "We're going to prove your theory, Doc. Just two more days!"

True to his word, the old man and some of his people led them through the valley. They were amazed at the abundance of wildlife. "The Great Ones hunt down and destroy any predator foolish enough to enter the valley" the old man said, "so we all have plenty to eat, even the Great Ones."

"This place looks like a park. It's so beautiful." Amy said. Suddenly she stopped. Look at this" she exclaimed, pointing to the sandy bank. A wide, deep furrow ran from the river to the tree line. It looked like someone drug a heavy sack through the sand, but this sack would have been three feet wide.

"I think one of the Great Ones has been through her, my dear" he replied. Its great weight made the impression. The creature itself must be massive. We'll have to wait and hope we see it."

As if in answer to their request, a huge shovel-shaped head rose above the nearby bushes. The natives immediately stopped and began to chant softly. As Doc and Amy stood transfixed, another huge head arose, and then another. Almost noiselessly, the snakes glided out of the bushes and surrounded the small group.

"Here is what you seek. My debt to you is repaid." The old man said. "You may examine them all you wish. However, first we must offer them our gifts."

Three naked young women stepped forward and silently approached the snakes. Kneeling on the ground before them, their bodies swaying to the chants of their companions, they reached out and stroked the big heads. The jaws opened in response. Each woman leaned forward into the opening and pushed her arms down the snake's throat. As one, the jaws closed over their torsos and the women were lifted off their feet. When the snakes' heads were almost vertical, they began to swallow. A quick head toss flipped the women's shapely legs skyward, and with gravity's help, they slid down out of sight.

Amy watched in awe as the three women were swallowed. She could see the outlines of their small bodies moving down the gullets towards the stomachs. "Unbelievable!" was all she could utter. "And they did that voluntarily. Why?"

"To assure prosperity for their families and the tribe" replied the old man. "Sometimes the young men also offer themselves, but those who will have not yet finished their preparations. They will come here next season. Until then, the serpents will hunt from among the animals you saw on your way here."

"The Great Ones will not resist your touch now that they are fed" he continued. "So long as you do not harm one of them, you will be quite safe."

All day, Amy and doc measured, photographed, and observed the big snakes. By sheer luck, one of the snakes was just finishing shedding its skin so they were able to collect some samples for lab analyses later. After all, photos can be faked, but not so such huge scales.

As Amy was measuring the snakes, she crawled over and round them. The touch of their rough scales against her skin sent electric currents up her spine. Her mind kept coming back to the young women, now digesting in the stomachs of these creatures. She was sitting astride the snake, and could feel the lump that was the young woman's body, inside.

As she prepared to photograph one of the snakes, she found herself directly in front of the jaws. The cold, black eyes stared into her own. She found it difficult to concentrate. Somehow she managed to take the pictures. Lowering the camera, she felt compelled to run her hand along the jaw line. The black tongue darted out and touched her thigh, then her bare stomach. She trembled as the electricity raced through her body.

"Be careful, Amy!" Doc whispered. "You saw how these creatures respond to that kind of touch. You're probably very lucky that this snake already has his dinner."

"Yeah, but there's always desert." she thought to herself. Snapping herself back to reality, she tried to dismiss the thought, but it was too late. "Don't be ridiculous" she whispered to herself. "That's a guaranteed one way trip."

Already, parts of her psyche were at war. "But just think how good it would feel against your naked skin, all that cool, slippery saliva coating your body, dripping off your tits, down your belly..... the pressure as all those muscles in its throat squeeze and massage you, pushing you along down its throat....the pulsating stomach exuding digestive fluids over you like a warm bath....."

"Amy, are you alright?" Doc asked. "You look like your mind is a long ways away and you're teetering on your legs. Maybe you'd better sit down."

She looked at him gently and said "I'm just fine now, Dr. Yum. Actually, I was only as far away as his stomach, but I'll be there soon enough. Thanks for bringing me along. Be sure to get this all on film. There's no way the Board of Regents can doubt your film now."

Before he could protest, the old man put a hand on Dr. Yum's shoulder. "She has decided to offer herself; we must not interfere. The Great One appears to have accepted her offer. This is truly a great honor. Come, we must move back."

Ten feet away, Doc struggled to keep his camera focused on Amy and her snake. She slowly removed her clothes then, fully naked, she walked towards the snake. Her young breasts stood firmly out in front of her. Her red bush seemed to glow between her legs. The dark eyes regarded this strange white offering. The head moved around her, examining her from all angles. The black tongue darted here and there, tasting her. Gliding between her legs, it made Amy shake so hard she almost collapsed. Her juices flowed freely.

Satisfied there was no danger, the snake's head moved in closer to Amy's. She looked up into the dark eyes for the last time. "Yes, I am for you. My tender body will nourish you, and you will grow larger still. A part of me will become your sperm and so become a part of your genes throughout time. I will be reborn each time they are transferred. So take me, my love, for I am yours."

The jaws opened in response to her strokes. Amy stood with her arms over her head, looked back over her shoulder at the camera and smiled. "Be sure to get my good side" she chided. The huge head lunged forwards, engulfing her to the waist.

Though slightly larger than the woman that had preceded her, Amy was swallowed easily. Her rump paused only a moment as the jaws opened wider, and then it too was gone. The camera continued to record as Amy's long legs straightened out and followed her tight ass into oblivion. As if to wave good-bye, Amy's bare feet wiggled at the camera just before they too disappeared.

Deep inside, Amy felt herself enter the stomach. "Ah, hello there" she said as she slid around and over the lifeless body of the earlier meal. "I'm Amy, and I hope I'm delicious."
