HOW WILLY GOT HIS WHEELS

            One day, in Los Angeles, a woman walks at the sidewalk of crossroads, when she looks at the box in there. She was surprise, something moves inside. She opens it, and, ”A dog!!” she screams. A little dog, chi hua hua species with brown color, moves his front foots, and looks at her with his big eyes. His mouth opens but no voice. “What happened with you,” the woman says, she takes away this dog. “So poor. Who hurt you?” she says again. Someone had hurt this dog, took a short cut his voice ribbon, and made him paralyzed. Know what she must to do, the woman walks quickly to nearest place that receives wild animals. Since that time, this dog begins his life in there.

            Someday, Nancy, a woman that work at the physical defect children rehabilitation center visits this place. She looks for a dog to accompany her in her house. When she arrives to the little chi hua hua, this dog sees her with his big eyes, like begs her to bring him go away. She can’t hold up her feeling when the officer tells her about how this dog was found. Nancy caressed the feather dog, “I’ll adopt you, dear. No one can hurt you again. And you will be better, I promise to you …Willy. Is it not sweet, I give him a name, Willy?” ask her to the officer. “It’s nice,” the officer answers. Willy, this lucky little dog opens his mouth, like barks, but his eyes can tell more than he can say with his mouth. He like says that he is happy. So, Nancy takes Willy home.

            In Nancy’s house, Willy gets treatment to return his foot to be normal. Nancy gives him some balloon that is tied in his back body. But it’s not useful. So Nancy tries another way. She brings Willy to obtain acupuncture therapy. But there is no change. Willy is still paralyzed. “Nothing I can do for you, Willy,” says Nancy sad.

Until she gets the answer when she watches the dog wheel advertisement in television. In there is showed how paralyzed dog can get their life again. But sometimes some dogs has traumatic experience at the first day they use this wheel, so who want to used it to their dogs must be careful. “Oh…it’s great. Willy, you’ll walk again.” And Willy, like usually wipes his head to Nancy’s hand.

The next day, Nancy phones to the shop that sell wheel for dog that was advertised in television yesterday. She orders the wheel with Willy’s size. And they promise the wheel can deliver this order in 1 week.

One week later, the wheel comes. Nancy is very glad, and nervous. However, she knows it’s not as simple as look like. Willy can get traumatic and she doesn’t want it happened. Carefully she lifts Willy’s back foot, and sets the wheel on him. “Come on honey, don’t make me sad. You must be able to handle it. Ok.” She holds on Willy for a moment and let him. And…Willy walks, more quickly, and he runs. “Oh, I can believe it. It’s amazing. Oh, God! Thank you,” Nancy screams. All day Willy walks and runs wherever he wants. His eyes light, he likes want to say, ” I’m free, I’m free!!” Nancy cries, she so touched with it.

Tomorrow morning, Nancy’s go to the place where she works at. And this time, Willy can follow with her, runs behind her. When they arrive there, Nancy introduces Willy to children who get treatment in there. And they happily accept for Willy, even they who usually don’t want to learn walking, now they will. They parents so very thanks to Willy.
