Taking the curve at Roha, turning away from the Mumbai - Kalyan mainline, towards Panvel. The catenaries and electrical fittings are all geared for AC. The large number of tracks set up to handle the heavy freight traffic expected to Uran and JNPT from all over India.

Passing the 2617 up Ernakulam Hazrat Nizamuddin Express near Nilaje on the Diva Panvel stretch. the train is hauled by a Erode (ED) WDM 2.

Passing Kalamboli ... to behold a sight a feast for an engine lover ... The Yellow engine s a WDS6 followed by a WCAM3, followed by two WDM2 locos ... all based at KYN (Kalyan).

Just after Rasayani (after Panvel enroute to Roha), dense forests, river banks and vast open spaces, yet the line has a hugs a few generous curves, a sheer delight to a train lover. The Alco steams ahead!

Rated by me as the most spectacular curve on the Diva - Roha Line, just preceding the river, about 5 km before Pen, the train takes a 90 degree turn over a wide open flatlands.

A WDG 2 (Pune) stands at Roha in the company of some passenger stock used by CR on the Diva Roha Passenger services. This engine must not be judged by the company it keeps here, bcoz its normally busy hauling freight up and down the KR ...
