We started a program for our daughter Jennifer who is now almost 6 years old. In this program, we try to teach
Jennifer words through combination of whole language and phonics. Each time, we focus on one book. Jennifer will read this book everyday for a certain peorid of time until She is comfortable to read through the whole book by herself. Several words are selected from the book for her to study. One phonetic
topic is introduced to help her to study a group of similar words. This web sites will provide more study resource for the words selected. It could be another interesting short story using the words. or it could be some online games reagrding the words. or it could be some coloring pages expressing the meaning of the words. Phonetic study material are provided.
tests are priovided also. Some interesting points in the book are pointed out. These points are explained to Jennifer briefly. Just for her extra knowledge.
