A/N: Been a while, but I'm hopefully getting back into the flow of things a bit now. Anyway, this journal chapter is dedicated to my grandparents, who threatened to write me out of their will yesterday after I wouldn't come out of my room (was busy chattering on msn) and told them to email me. They were on the other side of the door, but meh. They need to get used to technology anyway. They're still getting over the fact that dinosaurs went extinct.
Journal 10 - Ryou Bakura
Got back from Marik's party last night after prying him off Anzu with a crowbar. Think she was bleeding to death at this point, but was assured by Malik that appropriate emergency services had been called and were on their way. Am not quite sure if trusting Malik was good idea, but Anzu tends to heal quite fast from things like lacerations and stab wounds, so will not worry too much. Anyway, got home late with Marik and Malik in tow, because Marik claimed there was some ancient law about me not being able to say no to him on his birthday. Yugi was also with us, which has something to do with Marik refusing to let go of him and Anzu being in the emergency room, once again mostly thanks to Marik. Yugi didn't seem to mind, so let him stay over as well because have plenty of room and Yugi is almost sane, unlike rest of people in house. This, by the way, includes Bakura and Yami. Sounded like they were shifting furniture upstairs all night, do not even want to *know* what they were doing. Was too busy panicking anyway, because checked messages on answering machine when got in, and recieved advance warning message from father that grandparents are visiting today. Can normally deal with crazy old people, but now have Yugi, Bakura, Yami, Marik and Malik in house. Do not think I have enough closets to hide them all in, so will have to try and persuade them to try and act civilized. Somehow, do not think this is going to go well.
Entry 2
Spent all morning tidying house up for grandparents, is now so clean am almost going blind from the shine on everything. Made everyone help, and explained to them that they have to behave themselves or face my wrath. Bakura laughed at me, so once grandparents are gone he will be first victim. Think Marik and Malik are rubbing off on me.
After tidying up, went upstairs for a nap and was woken an hour later by Bakura screaming that there were zombies in the house. Went downstairs with cricket bat, only to find entire group of idiots who stay with me huddling in a corner while Grandma Bakura tried to feed them biscuits and poked them with her walking cane. Grandpa Bakura was sitting in armchair watching women's volleyball on TV, with cat on his lap. Do not even have a cat, too many evil yamis around who like to skin them, but cats just tend to appear around Grandpa Bakura. Do not think he minds, he just sits there and strokes them, and goes selectively deaf whenever Grandma Bakura tells him to do something.
Told idiots to get up and that old lady was not a zombie. Must admit, she does look a bit like one. Has very few teeth and wheezes everything she says. Can picture her walking around moaning "brains..." and attacking random people. Anyway, introduced them all to her, and somehow made Marik stop poking her to see if she'd bite him. Yugi and Malik sat next to Grandpa to watch TV and promptly ended up covered in cats, but at least that gets them out of the way. Feel a little sorry for Yugi, seeing as how he's quite small and is now buried underneath huge pile of purring furballs. Can see him struggling to escape. Malik is too scared to move, something to do with cats being sacred. Yamis are keeping well away from them. Day is going as well as can be expected so far.
Entry 3
Grandparents have finally left, after dinner. Dinner went... well. Sort of. Grandma caught Bakura and Yami making out and hit them with her stick. Told Bakura he should take his 'young lady' somewhere private to do that sort of thing. Bakura spent rest of day laughing at Yami and calling him 'princess'. At dinner Marik and Malik started making out at the table, and Grandma hit them with stick too. They kept doing it, she kept hitting them. Went on through entire meal. Ended up sitting there with blank, slightly psychotic look on face, watching Yugi (covered in cat scratches now) pass Grandpa whatever food he wheezed for. Mostly just feed him mushed up carrots and apple sauce anyway, but he seems to enjoy it. Luckily, did not have to explain why house was filled with three sets of almost-identical twins, as grandparents apparently have more important things to worry about. Like why I don't have a girlfriend yet. Told them just haven't found the right person (or persons... Did not mention this part, though), as they seem to like that answer every time I tell them it. After dinner, finally managed to get them to leave by promising to visit and bring my 'nice young friends' with me. Think Grandma is planning to eat them, or something. But still, survived the day without being disowned, so am relatively pleased. Am going to hide now, though, because am pretty sure Marik is going to demand payback for being a good boy all day.
