More than an animal 2 "Here, let me take care of your leg for you now." Lamgarnas said softly, slowly breaking off the kiss and looking down at the blushing demon beneath him. "Mmm." Gil purred, watching the outcast demon with sleepy, half-lidded amber eyes. The painkillers seemed to be working because Gil had stopped wincing when he moved, so Lamgarnas sat up and picked up the roll of bandages and soothing cream from the bedside table, placing them down on the bed and sitting with his legs over the edge. "Alright, now give me your leg and I'll put some cream on it. It will help your bruises heal, and I can bandage up a few of those cuts." Lamgarnas smiled, laying Gil's leg across his lap as the cat demon gave a fangy yawn and cuddled up against one of the fluffy white pillows. Unscrewing the jar of cream, Lamgarnas scooped a little up in his fingers, waiting a moment for it to warm up before gently rubbing it over the bruised skin of Gil's ankles. The red haired demon hissed a little but soon settled and let Lamgarnas work, watching with his golden cat's eyes as the outcast demon tied neat, clean bandages over the cream on his ankles, then moved on to the rest of his bruises. It felt nice, after the initial shock of the cool cream on his hot skin, and Gil soon began to relax against his pillow, enjoying having Lamgarnas' warm hands moving over him. It wasn't long before the feline demon fell asleep, a soft purr vibrating from his throat and making Lamgarnas smile as he finished tying the last bandage off. He gently moved Gil's legs onto the bed and covered his sleeping form with a blanket, putting the bandages and cream back on the bedside table then stroking Gil's fiery hair gently. "Sleep well, Gil." He whispered, then turned and left, moving off into the kitchen to make them something to eat for when Gil awoke. Fedelta's demons obviously hadn't taken much care in looking after the cat; his ribs could be felt clearly through his skin and he was far too thin. It worried Lamgarnas, who was determined to look after Gil as best he could. They had all treated Gil like an animal, he hadn't deserved any of what had been done to him. * * * * * * * Gil awoke after his nap and blinked sleepy eyes open, stretching and yawning. He stopped, sitting up on the bed as the smell of food reached him and made his mouth water. Yawning again, he stood up and padded slowly over to the door that separated his room from the main area of the small house, peeking his head around the corner cautiously. "Gil? I'm glad you're awake, dinner's almost ready. Would you like some?" Lamgarnas asked, turning from his cooking and noticing Gil watching him curiously. The cat demon nodded and padded over to the him, looking down at the pot of stew Lamgarnas was making. He sniffed at the steam rising from it and licked his lips, looking up at Lamgarnas. "Do you want a taste?" Lamgarnas laughed, scooping up a spoonful and blowing gently to cool it then offering it to the hungry cat. Gil nodded and let Lamgarnas feed him the spoonful, making a happy noise to show he approved. "How is it?" The outcast demon asked, filling two bowls full of the stew and walking over to set them on the table that stood next to a window looking out on a darkening forest. "Good." Gil nodded, following Lamgarnas past the roaring log fire to sit at the table. Gil sat down and picked up his spoon, looking at it with a puzzled expression for a moment before remembering how Lamgarnas had used it earlier. The outcast demon smiled softly as he watched Gil, glad that the cat demon was eating. He looked adorable in his white shirt and shorts, white bandages standing out here and there against his tanned skin and the flickering firelight dancing in his golden eyes. By the time Gil had finished his meal his eyes were beginning to close again and he was yawning tiredly. Lamgarnas took their bowls over to the sink and left them to wash the next day, not really blaming Gil for still being exhausted even after his nap. He'd been through a lot in one day, and Lamgarnas himself was beginning to feel the day's fatigue kicking in. He helped Gil to sleepily shuffle back to his room, drawing back the covers and watching the feline demon crawl into the bed before pulling the covers back over him. "Goodnight, Gil." Lamgarnas leant down and kissed Gil's forehead gently, feeling the sleepy cat lean up a little to nuzzle his cheek. "If you need anything, I'll be right next door, ok? Sleep well." "Mm 'night." Gil mumbled, curling up with his pillow again. Smiling, Lamgarnas turned and left Gil to sleep, heading for his own room. * * * * * * * Lamgarnas opened his eyes in the darkness, not quite sure of what had woken him at such an hour. He sat up in bed and listened to the silent house, frowning as he heard a soft, muffled sob coming from the room next to him. Another followed it and Lamgarnas drew back the covers and got out of bed, lighting a candle and carrying it with him as he made his way to Gil's room. Opening the door, Lamgarnas stepped inside and closed it after him, looking over and finding Gil sat up on the bed, shaking and crying into his pillow, which he was clutching to his chest. "Gil, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" The outcast demon asked softly, setting the candle down beside the bed and kneeling down next to the feline demon. "I-I don't like..." He moved into Lamgarnas' arms, "A-alone." "You don't want to be alone?" Lamgarnas asked gently, wrapping his arms around the younger demon and rubbing his trembling back as he sobbed and nodded. "It's alright, I won't leave you. Do you want me to stay in here tonight?" Lamgarnas asked, stroking his fingers through Gil's silky red hair. "Stay," Gil whispered, abandoning his pillow and curling up against the demon who'd saved him, burying his head against Lamgarnas' chest and listening to his heart beating within, letting the older demon soothe him. After a few silent, comfortable minutes of holding Gil in his arms and listening to the younger demon's soft breathing, Lamgarnas felt Gil shift and move back a little to look up into his eyes. "Love me?" The cat demon asked in a soft whisper, "Please?" "Love you?" Lamgarnas asked, not quite understanding what it was Gil wanted. "Yes. Do you want?" Gil asked, taking Lamgarnas' hand and placing it on his chest over his heart. Lamgarnas looked into Gil's amber eyes and felt the cat's heart beating steadily beneath his palm, realizing what Gil was asking. "More than anything." The outcast demon smiled gently, moving his hand up from Gil's chest to his throat, then his cheek. Gil nuzzled his hand and purred softly, his eyes sliding closed as Lamgarnas leant down a little to meet his lips. "I'll love you, Gil. Always." The older demon breathed against the feline's lips, then captured them in a slow, deep kiss that meant more than any words could ever convey. Gil moaned softly, snaking his arms around Lamgarnas' neck, kissing back as best he could. He wanted to show Lamgarnas what he didn't know how to say, all the love and need and trust he felt towards the man who had saved him from Fedelta and treated him like more than an animal. Kneeling up on the bed, Gil buried his hands in Lamgarnas' hair and arched his head back as the outcast demon moved his kissed down to his lover's tanned throat. Lamgarnas kissed his way across Gil's perfect skin, feeling the vibrations of the cat demon's purr in his chest as he moved down to Gil's collarbone. "Is this alright, Gil?" Lamgarnas asked, slowly beginning to undo the buttons of Gil's white top. "Alright?" Gil moaned, too lost to understand much as he opened half-lidded yellow eyes and watched Lamgarnas pull his own shirt off over his head, having finished undoing the buttons on Gil's. "Do you like it?" The outcast demon whispered, stroking the pad of his thumb over Gil's scarred cheek gently. "Like." Gil whispered back, kissing Lamgarnas' thumb as it brushed his lips. "I promise I won't hurt you." The older demon murmured, slipping Gil's shirt from his shoulders. Gil nodded, taking his lover's hand again and bringing it to his lips to lay gentle, feather-soft kisses on it. "Trust you." The cat said, looking up into Lamgarnas' blue eyes as the older demon gently lay him down on his back, leaning over him to catch his lips again in a tender kiss. As Lamgarnas kissed a trail down Gil's chest, the cat closed his golden eyes and gave a few soft, hitched gasps, feeling his lover place gentle kisses all the way down to his flat stomach. Very slowly, Lamgarnas stripped himself and then Gil of the rest of their clothes, watching with a soft smile as Gil blushed a little. "You're beautiful. Perfect." Lamgarnas whispered. "Purr-fect..." Gil repeated, not really understanding what it meant but liking the sound of the word anyway. Lamgarnas laughed and stood up, stroking Gil's hair gently. "Wait here a moment, Gil." Gil nodded, watching as Lamgarnas left the room and came back after a moment with a little bottle of sweet oil, which Gil gave a thorough inspection. "This will make sure it doesn't hurt, ok?" Lamgarnas smiled. Gil nodded and passed the oil back to his lover, leaning his head back and letting his eyes slide closed as Lamgarnas' warm hands parted his soft thighs and began to prepare him carefully. Gil moaned as he felt Lamgarnas touch him in places he'd never willingly let anyone before. Memories of all the times Fedelta's lackeys had used and hurt him flooded back but he pushed them away to the back of his mind, content with just feeling Lamgarnas' hands on his skin and the warm emotions flowing between them. "I want...this...always..." Gil gasped as Lamgarnas lifted one of his long, tanned legs and began to slowly sink into his body. "Forever, Gil. No matter what happens, I'll love you." Lamgarnas whispered, watching the younger demon's back arch like a bow. Gil closed his eyes as Lamgarnas moved inside him, his world reeling from the pleasure of being so close to the one person he trusted enough to offer himself to, body and soul. Fedelta's demons could take his body and Shyrendora's magic could take his mind, but his heart belonged to Lamgarnas. Giving a choked moan, Gil struggled to open his amber eyes and focussed dazedly on his lover, panting softly. "Love... you..." He breathed, reaching up and pulling Lamgarnas down for a deep kiss. "Love you too," Lamgarnas murmured as their lips met, feeling Gil tense beneath him and cry out as they reached their release together and collapsed, breathing heavily. * * * * * * * As dawn broke over Dusis, Lamgarnas lay awake and watched Gil sleep, holding the cat demon in his arms lovingly and never wanting to let him go. He stroked Gil's fiery hair from his eyes and kissed his forehead, listening to him purr contentedly in his sleep. "It may not last forever, but I'll treasure every moment I have with you." Lamgarnas whispered softly to his sleeping lover. "And even if they take this away from us, I will always watch over you, my Gil, and wait for you with open arms. Because to me you will always be more than an animal." Holding Gil closer against his chest, Lamgarnas closed his eyes and pulled the covers up over them both, smiling as he drifted off to sleep. End.
