CURSOR INSERTION
Before you can correct an error, you need to place the cursor into the right spot.  You can do this by:

(1) using the arrow keys
(2) using the mouse

Using arrow keys could possibly take a long time, depending where in the document the error is.  However, with the mouse, a lot of distance can be covered in a very short time.  Simply move the pointer to the spot where the mistake is, and left click once.  Thje cursor should now appear at that point.  For minor adjustments, you can use the arrow keys.

BACK SPACE KEY
The Backspace key will remove a space to the left of the cursor.  This can be used as a delete button by placing the cursor directly to the right of the error and then hitting Backspace until the error is removed.  The correct letter can then be typed in.

DELETE BUTTON
The delete button is slightly different from the backspace button.  The delete button will remove a letter to the right of the cirsor.  Therefore, place the cursor directly to the left of the error and hit the delete button.  The error should be removed and the whole line should move to the left one space.

REMOVING A PARAGRAPH
You can highlight the entire paragraph and then either hit the backspace or delete button.  Both buttons will remove the highlighted text.
