Welcome to the first official fansite devoted to Seattle's best television station, KOMO TV 4.

This site will have a complete account of the history of KOMO TV, dating all the way back to when it was KTCL Radio in Seattle in 1926. Then, you will see images of the station's past, all captured in Paint, or in screen-captures. Images like past logos KOMO has used throughout the years, images of the various sets that KOMO has used throughout the years, for KOMO News 4, and for Northwest Afternoon and Town Meeting.  You'll also see a chronology (images) On how the KOMO building at 4th and Denny has evolved, and how Fisher Plaza would eventually replace it. You'll also be greeted with a small section devoted to KOMO's Sister Station in Portland OR, KATU Channel 2 (ABC).

You will also hear the theme music that KOMO used, especially the cuts of the Dan Dean theme (My personal favorite) from 1994.

Please note, however, that many of the images you will see in this site are of my own creation, and are not from any videos or the like. Many of the images in this site I have made using Microsoft Paint, and JASC's Paint Shop Pro, along with Adobe PhotoDeluxe.

UPDATE: Posted March 19, 2008

For those who have been wondering, this site has not died in any way, nor have I forgot about it. I've been extremely busy working on my other website, and other hobbies. With that being said and out of the way, I'd like to introduce a major announcement.

Coming soon, an all-new KOMO TV 4 Seattle Fansite will debut, replacing the current one, and it'll leave GeoCities and move to a subdomain at my other website (GilligCoaches.NET). Here's what's in store!

New, updated set images, which will replace the Microsoft Paint-based creations that have been here since day one. Each new set image is based off of a high-resolution screenshot sourced from a top-quality VHS or DVD master, then retouched and enhanced in Adobe Photoshop to represent a wide-angle camera photograph.

New, updated, and vastly improved KOMO-TV, KOMO News logo and graphic renditions. Each rendition is sourced from the same high-resolution VHS or DVD master, and faithfully reproduces the original in high-resolution web quality.

A complete history and background of KOMO-TV and the news division

And much more.

Stay tuned.
