| Tie Domi the Gentle Tough Guy |
| Mostly seen as the NHL's toughest hockey players, For the 5th year running Tie Domi and the Toronto's Santa on Wheels Program, turned his rock hard fist, into soft open arms,bring Sheltered Youths over 1000 toys. Domi got involved with Santa on Wheels Program after meeting with a group of kids 5 years ago at a hostel. Hewas touched after a 12 year old boy was caught stealing, trying to get Christmas gifts for his brother and sister. "I couldn't figure it out. I really didn't know about the problems we had in this city." said Tie Domi. "Most of these kids don't even know who I am. I'm just a stranger to them. But they still come and hug me because they feel some one is doing some thing for them. It's tought to hold back the tears at times. For these kids to have a stranger do some thing for them, they don't get that offten." In addition to Variety Village and the Hospital for the Sick Children, Tie is active with various charties including Hugh MacMillan Children's Hospital. |

| I'm tired of hearing people say Tie is a goon, well I say Tie aint no goon just look when he played in Peterbrough in the 121 regular season games he got 38 goals and 38 assist for 76 points. Sure he got some penalties but so did I when I played. Its apart of hockey. |
