Young Yakumo has been living alone since the
disappearance of his father, a professor of Buddhist theology. The
sudden arrival of Pye, a mystic being from the Himalayas, turns
Yakumo's world upside down. Pye hands Yakumo a last letter from his
father. The letter explains that Pye is an immortal who longs to
become human. To Yakumo this is all a huge joke until he is the victim
of a fatal accident and Pye uses her powers to resurrect him. He is
transformed into an indestructible and immortal being. Thus Yakumo
joins Pye, the girl with the third eye, in her search for the secret
of human life.
