Hilory phoned: The Compact restarts on Sept. 1, the day after tomorrow.

Our band becomes smaller from 8 to 6 members; bandmaster, side guitarist, woodwind blower, bassist, steel guitarist and keyboardist. Conga percussionist will come as PA man when we have stages. Might be smaller but best players, I believe. Perhaps this is not bad.

On the web I've got to know many of dance bands in the US are combos of 3-5 members. I think if only we have our bandmaster and treasurer we can manage to make the band much better in music levels and band management.

Someone said to me that a band cannot become better than its bandmasters ability. Yes, for this reason I can trust our bandmaster.

During two months of the band's summer vacation I did many things for music. Happy to return to the Compact, which will start with dance numbers we did on June 25 at Portico Hall in Koshigaya. Wish me a luck.
