SONGS OF KASUKABE HIGH / MYSTERIOUS COMPACT / USING BONE-JOINTS
Great songs of Kasukabe High: Dec-20 practice of The Compact. Free session, where a variety of songs and tunes of any genre came up among us. Soldier songs, boola-boolas, school songs, children's songs and fork songs, including The Beatles songs. When it comes to these types of songs, Chel and Yow makes their own duet show. Hil and I were audience, just delighted to enjoy their great performance. The most brightest were those of Kasukabe High, where the bandmaster learned and enjoyed cheer club activities. Yow's band: Chel knows incredible number of tunes in wide-ranged genre. It seems to me that Yow might see Chel as his arch rival. Yow is trying to put new songs every time when his band has a place to volunteer, saying he is proud that his band has never played with the same members. Membership of his band is not so organized as The Compact. They can just come when feel like playing and just go away when tired of. Yow seems to see his band as a group of session players. There sometimes come those who are good at, including ex-professional musicians. They can play very well individually. But surprisingly, they struggled to make ensemble music. I remember what someone ex-professional said, " A band can not do better that its bandmaster's ability". Maybe his band is in need to find a competent bandmaster, who can organize and lead those who come to play with. The Compact is a bandleaders' group: Interesting to say that some of The Compact members have their own bands, which are good at playing various genre of music. Yow has one. Asa belongs to 4 bands, leading some of them. I myself belong to an a-capella chorus group, which has just started its career to be a local semi-professional singing band. I sometimes wonder what makes us gather there at the corner of a worksite cafeteria every Wednesday and Friday. We have been often in conflict with each other. At times we have vocalized our likes and dislikes relentlessly. Anyway we gather there with our instruments. To play together.... Using bone-joints: Seeking long for better body-movement in piano playing. Seeking long for better music playing theory. No theories found but one hint came to me. That is a way to keep best point of body balance, where I can come from and back to during playing. That's a kind of feeling. To feel the balanced point in my body. That makes me feel no stress and free to move and play so as I would like to. In other words use all the bone-joints. If balanced, take a couple of deep breaths slowly, and you can feel so good that you feel you can accept anything. 2006-10-23 23:45:19 GMT
