I was born at 32 weeks gestation (8weeks early) and wieghed 1472grams (3p3oz).I spent the first 6 weeks of my life in the NICU at RPA on intubation (full life support) and CPAP (part life support).I was born with congenital Arthrogryphosis Mulit-plex Congenita, scoliosis and plagiocyphaly. Due to all my intubations I have very weak lungs and am very prone to getting chest infection like bronchiolitis. When I was 6 weeks and 5 days old, I was rushed to hospital for a strangulated inginal hernia and was put on life support
during surgey as my lungs collapsed while I was under. Than 3 weeks later, I turned blue while my mother   was feeding me, this happened 5 times in 10 minutes, so my dad called an ambulance. I had 6 grown ambulance men revive me on our back veranda. I was than taken to westmead childrens hospital and kept in for   observations over night. They sent me home the next day and told my mum I was ok. A day later, I went blue
5 times in 5 minutes, so my mum took me to nepean hospital where I was put on oxygen and awaited my transfer to another hospital so I could go back on life support, they took me back to RPA and I was kept in for 10 days till I could breath on my own again. Since than I have been pretty good. I had a scheduled surgery to remove a second hernia. On the 20th of January 2004, I had my first operation to correct my feet. It took three and a half hours to do my left foot and my Dr thought it would be best to stop there and do the other one in 2 or 4 weeks. On the 17th of febuary 2004 my second foot was done and so far it has not reverted back to the original position. My left foot however, has completly reverted and we are no awaiting more surgery to have it corrected once again. My foot look great, I could not have asked for a nicer looking foot then the one that Dr Gray has given me! It is perfectly straight and flat to the floor, when my mum seen it, she cried and she keeps telling me that I am a very lucky little boy to have been given a perfect foot. Soon to be followed by another perfect foot :)
