It's all in the name...
'Ello. If you are here, then you must be interested in that framed certificate of insanity on the wall, hm? Well, let me give you a little insight into the ramblings of the deranged onna running (walking?) this page. In my life, I have been called many things. But you're not interested in that and I just assume not get my access revoked for such foul language. You're interested in the names. The following is a list of the ones I use the most, however they are not the only names I have been addressed by.

Tawnya Silverstar Kisaragi
Tawnya was the first alternate persona I ever took on. She was born from my fanaticism for the anime that got me into anime, Ronin Warriors (or Samurai Troopers, for all you purists out there). I was in junior high and just starting my writing career. Though I hate to admit it, she was how I basically wrote myself into the storyline. Since the Warlords were my favorite characters, she became what I termed a 'warlordess'. (Isn't artistic licence great?) Since they all bore a negative human emotion, I choose fear for her's and a tiger's guise for her armour. The symbol lof darkness (the cressent moon with a star) became her armour symbol.
Though all of this was great, Tawnya really didn't assert herself as a personality until after my dad brought home our second computer and told my brother and me that we now had interent access. This also brought the shpeal about how we were never to give out our real names, any personal info, blah, blah, dribble, dribble, dribble. Lo and behold, there was Tawnya, ready and waiting in the wings to be let loose upon the infromation super highway. Because in essence she was me, she became the name and face that I am now know as on the net. Email, messenging, and things that I sign for on the internet are all under the name of Tawnya, my first character.

Duo Elijah Maxwell
Duo is what most people call me in real life. And yes, I'm referring to the Duo Maxwell of Gundam Wing, my second favorite anime. My friends in high school thought it was funny. I always wear black, my hair for the most part was in a braid and my life-long goal is to get it a meter long. I also act almost exactly like him; I talk way too much for my own good, I always go for the laugh, and I have such a clear understanding of death it isn't even funny. I'm the nicest person in the world until you piss me off, then I'm your worst nightmare.
The immergence of Duo was almost immediate. The 'Elijah' part was added later for personalization purposes. In my fics, I claim it's his baptismal name. However, Duo has become the perfect name for me as I since I have entered the hollowed halls of College (cue Hallelujah chorus). My birth name is actually fairly common and I find that I end up with at least three of them in my class no matter what I'm taking. Thus Duo is the perfect way to distinguish myself from the herd.
Yami, Bakura, and Malik
Yami, Bakura and Malik are some of the more recent adoptions into my list. Yeah, I know, someone of my age watching something like Yu-Gi-Oh! is absolutely ridiculous, but I actually really like the series (no matter how bad 4Kids Entertainment butchered it). Some of the faces they get are absolutely adroable and it actually has some of the best lines I've heard in a while. Not only that, but I'm a sucker for anything relating to Egypt. Yes, I do find it annoying sometimes when they spend most of their time talking about what card they're playing and why, but overall it's still good.
Now, why these three? Well, Yami is the one that I identify with more simply becuase of my personality type. I'm often accused of being confident to the point of arrogance and I refuse to give in to anyone. Bakura identifies with my ideas of fun, my sarcasm, and my ability to harbour ill-feelings to someone for a very long time. And Malik's just cool. Appearently, I get the same kind of manic smiles he gets...
**As an interesting side note, I have officaily named my laptop Yu-Gi-Oh. Since it as an exchangable drive system, my CD-DVD drive is Yugi (becuase I don't think the thing knows how to cause a problem) while my Floppy drive is Yami (becuse it is always stubborn). I'm sick, aren't I?**

Kurama Youko
Kurama is also another new addition. Not only do I have this soft spot for red-heads to begin with, but he is (in my opinion) the perfect compliment to Hiei. This is a character I picked up simply because one of my best friends became known as Hiei herself. Since she was drooling over him, I offered to make her a coule outfits like his for Halloween/whatever con she was planning on attending. Her hair is just short enough to pull of Hiei well. Well, she said she'd parade as Hiei if I went as Kurama. Thus, I have Kurama in my arsenal.
I would also like to point out the Yu Yu Hakusho should become a standard for anybody who likes anime. Especialy the uncut version. I still have visions of Kuwabara showing off his spirit sword and Yuusuke flipping him with the line of "Well, that depends on what finger I'm using." Sorry, I just loved it. I died laughing...
