Elements are the center of the universe. They are the power in which every fighter draws upon for strength. Every being has their own specific Element in which they draw energy from, for strength. All Elements have counterparts in either they are stronger against, or weaker against.
Your Element plays a part in every thing you do in every day life. Especially, when you fight. Your Element attribute is added into every kick, every punch, and every ability your character performs. Thus, increasing your characters fighting strength in battle.
All Elements have a certain Element they are stronger, or weaker against. If your character is fighting an opponent who has an element that has strength over you, (ex: Water over Fire) then more likely you'll lose. But the way the battle turns out, also depends on your scores. If your opponents Element attribute is astonishing low, then that means, only a little bit of his Element is added into every attack. This is why the Element feature is so important. If you don't keep your element attribute even with everything else, it won't be very affective when it comes time for you to fight someone.
Now, Elements are important when it comes time for you to do your abilities. Why? Because, if your character is fighting hand to hand, not as much of your element is added to you attacks, as it is for your abilities. Your abilities draw upon you Element for strength, thus making them potentionally stronger than fighting hand to hand. But the only weakness to using Abilities, is that they drain a lot of energy from you, and if used to much, can make your body overcome with fatigue. This probably won't happen but, if your character over does it, he or she may even die from over use of his or her element.
All Elements have their certain characteristics that you can see by clicking on them. But, the most important one is, Elements all have the ability to join with another Element. But this causes you to have to build another element attribute for your new element. To make it easier for you to understand, you will have one atrribute for your first element, and another attribute for your second. Obtaining a second Element will only happen at special times in the game, and to the best RPers. So before you do this, please ask Lanse or Krise for permission. It mat be to early for you to do this. That is another hazard. If your character is not phisically and spiritually fit to hold another element, your character could die.
More Elements will be discovered as the game continues. I may even come to you and ask you to do a special post for me, (if you RP extremely well that is). Now that you know the basic knowledge of Elements, why don't you find out more about them, just to see which one you think is fit for your character.
(Note: If you cannot get an element you want to pop up on your browser, it is probably because I don't want you to pick it. There is probably to many of that type of element already in the RPG. I know this sucks, but I want to keep the RPG well balanced.)
(Another Note: Every element has a strength and a weakness. If it says "no element", the element that is suppose to be in that spot has not yet been discovered. So don't fool yourself by thinking Earth is the strongest element, just because it doesn't hace a weakness. Or Fire is the weakest, just because it doesn't have a strength.)
