My name is Jozsef KOLOSZAR, I have a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Department of Control Engineering and Information Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Budapest, Hungary.

My area of research is Virtual Colonoscopy (VC), which has also been the topic of thesis. If you are interested in my academic background and publications, click the link below.

I am currently employed as a software developer by a PACS, tele-radiology company working mostly on visualization solutions for radiology. Life is not all about work, fortunately! I am the happy father of two little ones. Now that they are are not AS little as they were two years ago (when the picture above was taken), I can sometimes take a little time off.

I've returned to the pool to practice and play water-polo, actually relearning to swim, after four years of no sprots... it's a slow process :-)

I still don't spend as much time airborne as I would like, but flying my paraglider is as satisfying as it ever was... well, maybe climbing up mountains isn't... :-).

In my secret life, I am also a serious (but now mostly dissapointed) grown-up (?) computer gamer. I also do some hobby coding: Here is a link to glFFE (I did it because I loved the original... I know I'm old :-) And another to my current project s60 DOSBox. (Nothing looks as good on a Nokia as the original X-COM :-)

you will walk the earth with your gaze turned to the sky,
for there you have been
and there you will always long to return."
- Leonardo da Vinci
