May 19 - We bought the kegs of beer from Gonzaga's own Jack and Dans Tavern. How much more important can you get? Go Zags.

May 12 - We had our engagement photos taken.

May 6 - Katie had her second wedding shower with much fanfare. It was great fun - I am told. Tom, Charlie and I went to the bar instead. Katie and I also met with our minister Homer Todd.

April 28 - Katie had her first bridal shower. According to all accounts various whatnot broke out during the party and fun was had by all. Among the festivities were games, cake and Oh Yeah-presents. Among the games, Katie was asked to match Dan's answers to some tricky questions. For example - If Dan could be a superhero who would he be? Answer - Superman. Katie got this incorrect, responding Batman. As punishment she had to place a large piece of bubble gum in her mouth. Out of 20 questions she got 13 correct - not to bad! But batman, come on. Superman rocks. Katie would like to say a special thanks to Barb and Kim for all their hard work - even when the power went out. They made the party great.

April 13 - Katie and I purchased the Marriage License for $51 at the courthouse. The lady made us raise our right hands and do the Boy Scout pledge and swear we were telling her the truth. She also asked if we were sure that we really wanted to go through with this like we were gonna say, Well now that you mention it . . . So that was interesting. Since the County publishes the official records each day in the Spokesman-Review, the paper I copyedit for, I was able to read the record of our buying the license. The funny thing was that Katies name was spelled wrong (McCollum, not McCollim) She was a tad upset when I told her I had to fix it. Ive yet to follow the trail up to its source to find out why that happened.

We also bought the Liquor license for the reception. Katie couldnt go into the store though shes not 21 until November 26.

Also on this very productive day we finalized our plans for the honeymoon. We reduced the price by $400 and switched to flights in and out of Spokane rather than Seattle. Were pretty pleased about that because we were going to have to drive to Seattle the day before our flight to catch the 6 a.m. plane. The flight leaves Spokane at 6:50 a.m. July 18, now just in case you want to give us a early morning send off. Well be in Orlando about a week.

April 7 - I bought Katie her wedding present. If you want to see a picture of it click here.

March 30 - Invitations were mailed. Remember to RSVP with the enclosed envelope, don't just steal the free stamp.

March 13 - Wedding reception menu selected.

Jan. 19 - The tuxedos for the gentlemen in the wedding party were selected. Dan and best man Jason will wear the the black Claiborne 2.0. This tux jacket has a high colar and six buttons on the front. Dan will wear a black vest and black lay-down tie while Jason will wear a slate vest and black tie.

The other gentlemen in the party will be asked to wear a Madison suit by a company I can't think of right now. This is more traditional with the exception of the lay-down tie and full backed slate vests. The Tuxedo Gallery in Spokane will be providing the rentals.

We're gonna look slick.

Jan. 11 - The wedding invitations arrived. Will you get one? Only time will tell.

Jan. 4 - We switched servers to Geocities.com.

Dec. 4 - Invitations were decided upon. More later.

Nov. 24 - Alxpoll live Web Poll was launched. Why do you think Dan and Katie are good for eachother? The overwhelming majority think "Because they are WAY in love" is the reason. They are right!

Nov. 13 - Wedding entertainment selected. Rhythm City Entertainment will provide music and lighting for the reception. Brandon Burrow, a friend of both families will serve as D.J. We decided on Rhythm City after looking at many companies because we trust Brandon to provide high class quality music and entertainment.

Nov. 19 - Guest list started. No details reported.

Nov. 11 - Selection of dresses for the Bride's Maids and Maid of Honor finalized.

"The dresses are burgandy," Katie said. "Since our wedding colors are burgandy and charcoal, everything in the wedding will be color matched to the dresses."

The dresses flater the figures of each of the girls, which is something we looked for.

Nov. 5 - Homepage.com brought on board serve as launching pad for easy address access.

Oct. 25 - Web page is launched. Small, awkward, but live baby!!!
