THE DEFTONES are mostly, what you would call a hugely effective version , of tasteful musical Image, and music. Their first album was released by Maverick records, titled Adrenaline released October '95, featuring such songs as Bored 7Words Engine No. 9 and other great songs. This CD sold a whopping 200,000 copies, and most of the success was credited by their extensive touring that year, with such bands as Korn and White Zombie. The second album entitled "Around the Fur" was soon released. They began their fate as one of the best modern metal groups known. Around the Fur, featured songs like the hit:My Own Summer (shove it) Or Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) As one source said, They are of their own wavelength; definitely one of a kind,The song Can't Breathe was taken on the Escape from LA soundtrack.
Their latest offering (white Pony( contains songs such as: Change (in the house of Flies) in wich the vocal and the guitar layering is abbrassive and dynamic in the same breath. It also features the single Back to School, And the somber Passenger wich features Tool's vocalist: Maynard James Keenan it seems that the Deftones are the only band that makes the Korn crap generation a little more palatable . |
