Production Developer

Web site development.

Web site development experience includes:

  • Worked with a team of 6 developers at QwestDex that handled the revisions of approximately 8,000 personal customer business based web sites in the 14-state region of QwestDex. Team was originally made up of content developers that had learned basic HTML and Photoshop techniques when hired to the team. Till hire date, sites were built in a template program, where QwestDex has about 25% changed to customized web sites using HTML or Dreamweaver.

  • Brought Flash, Dreamweaver, Image Ready knowledge to the team. Senior experience of Flash, Photoshop and Image Ready and team effort was used when looking for new ideas on building web sites.

  • On a daily basis, a minimum of 10 different client based web sites was worked on. Ranging from minor revisions of text and address changes to complex 3 to 20 pages site rebuild. Rebuilt of web site consisted of: Taking the site down

      • Reworking it in both hard coded HTML and Dreamweaver

      • Rescanning and/or touch-up of graphics

      • Making icons from scratch then reloading the site in a template program that did not use FTP. Many times the customer gave free control for new look of site and was very pleased


  • Averaged 15 calls a day, talking to customers or sales representatives in the 14-state region on a one on one basis daily. Fact finding their needs so that enhancement to the site was most effective, offering ideas to help the site look appeasing and recommending needs so that the customer received full coverage to their site.

  • Web development: learned some basic knowledge of working with URL's, java, and DHTML

  • Customer development: learned basic knowledge of selling the customer new enhanced products.

  • Received praise in weekly company newsletter, and letters from customers who were happy with the changes to their web site.
