In the middle of 50', when Steven Seagal was few years old, it attended a game of soccer with his father. In the mean-time a demonstration of martial-arts was included. In 1975, Steven became the first American in opening a Dojo of martial arts in Japan, Tenshin Aikido Dojo in Osaka affiliated with Aikikai-Hombu. The Tenshin Dojo closed in January of 1998 due to the return from Matsuoka Sensei to Japan. The Dojos in Taos and Osaka continues operating with students of Seagal Sensei like the instructors.

Steven Seagal recently received its 7 Dan of Doshu, the Sensei Or son and the present head of Aikikai. Steven continues making demonstrations of martial-arts around the world as well as the training of some greater students of its house.
